LiamI don't even know why I'm acting like this. I'm never like this. But there's something about Siobhan that just makes me...I don't know but I trust her. For some reason I just don't wanna be the Liam that's dangerous or mean around her. I just wanna be...me.
The entire walk to my room she was silent. She had this look. The one I had seen her wear millions of times before. Like she was gone. Her eyes were just blank. It scared the shit out of me. It was the same look she had when I asked her what the hell happened back there.
I was coming back from Angela's and walking past her room when I heard it. It was like this cry for help mixed with a scream. I honestly thought she was being murdered or some shit. The door was unlocked so I ran in. But she was sleeping. Who the fuck sounds that scared when they are sleeping. Then I remembered how tired she looked this morning. Like she hadn't slept in weeks.
Once we got to my room I opened the window and climbed out to the roof. I found out about this place my first year here. Never told anybody about it. I went here to be alone and just relax.
I was expecting to have to help Siobhan up to the main roof since the ledges can be a bit tricky. But she climbed up with ease. Then we just sat there on the roof looking at the horizon.
Finally she broke the silence, "I wish you could see the city from here."
"Yea I've only been a couple times with my family when I was little. One of my older brothers lives there now though."
"You have siblings?"
"Yea two older brothers and a younger brother. We used to reek havoc on our neighborhood. My mom's a single mom so we had way too much freedom." I laughed remembering all the shit we used to get in together, "What about your family?"
"I don't really have one anymore. My parents died a couple years ago. My younger siblings don't want anything to do with me. And every other "family" I've been in has fucked me over." She didn't even look away from the skyline. She said it in a way that made me think that she didn't actually reveal anything. Like she would never fully let anyone see the whole truth.
I honestly didn't know how to respond to that so I just told her more about me. "My dad died when I was pretty little. Cancer."
She finally turned to look me in the eye, "Why are you doing this. What do you want. Did-did Patrick send you? Or are you with the cops?"
"What? No why would you think I was with the cops? Who the fuck is Patrick?" I paused looking in her eyes searching for the truth, "What did you do to get in here?" The minute that come out of my mouth I saw her close up. She left me sitting there on the roof while she climbed down back into my room.
I don't even know why I care this much. There was just something weird going on. I almost never told anyone about myself. It took Connor almost a year to get basically any information about my family. I trusted her and I didn't want anything to happen to her. I could tell that she was in danger or something was wrong. For some reason I wanted to protect her.
