hi there! i'm ainsley, the author of this fic. this is my return to the potc fandom after years of hiatus. if you enjoyed my adeena cole series four years ago, you will certainly fancy what you're about to read now. id like to think ive matured quite a bit in four years, as a person and as a writer. it is my hope that joanna finds as much success as adeena did, if not more.
writing this has been a long time coming. id like to extend a thank you to my friends, particularly P, for encouraging me to revel in my interests rather than be embarrassed by them. i'd like to thank my sister for proofreading and cheering me on despite having no interest in potc herself.

i'm an aspiring composer, so i wrote my new oc, joanna, a theme. allow me to wax poetical about it. it's a percussion arrangment, featuring a glockenspiel, two vibraphones, and two marimbas (i'm a percussionist and i'm terrible at writing for anything but my own instruments). it features the iconic potc melody mixed in with new ones in order to differentiate it from existing potc music. its structure is similar to jack's theme.
