You sat down in the empty space next to Laxus on the couch. He had his feet propped up on the coffee table and they crossed at the ankle. His arms were crossed over and his eyes closed he slept. You smacked his chest lightly and he opened his eyes slowly.

"What?" He asked obviously upset about being woken up.

"I know you were listening." You stated and let your head fall back. Laxus stayed quiet and you looked over at him only to find his eyes close again.

"Wake up." You ordered and a groan left his lips as he opened his eyes again. He pulled his feet off the table and leaned forward to run his hands over his face.

"Why can't you just let me sleep?" He asked and sent you a side glance. You looked at him and shook your head.

"If you're so tired just go home." You said as if it was an obvious solution. He shook his head and leaned back in the seat before putting his arm on the back of the sofa.

"If I go home I'm not coming back for the parade." He answered and you nodded your head. You closed your own eyes and leaned your head back again.

"We have costumes that we're supposed to wear." You mentioned and he grumbled something under his breath. You felt his fingers slowly run through your hair.

A small smile spread to your face as you crossed your arms. "What are you doing tonight?" He asked with closed eyes.

YOUR POV

"Nothing, why?" I asked obviously intrigued by his question.

"I'm thinking about cashing in my dinner and drinks tonight." He said casually and I let out a deep sigh.

"What do you want to eat?" I asked and crossed my legs over before glancing up at him. He was looking down at me with a blank expression.

There was nothing on his mind as he studied my face. I raised an eyebrow as he continued to look at me. "What?" I asked and he blinked a few times before turning his head away.

"Nothing, surprise me tonight." He mumbled and I shrugged my shoulders.

"I'll come up with something. I'm gonna head to my place and get our costumes." I stated before uncrossing my legs.

"Want to come with, you could crash there for a while?" I asked and pushed myself off the sofa and looked down at him.

He let out a deep sigh and shook his head. "Nah, I'll stay here. I want your place to stay a surprise for later." He said with a smirk on his face.

"You're restricted to my kitchen and my living room." I hissed at him and he chuckled. I started walking past him but he propped his legs up on the table, stopping me in place.

"What?"

A smirk spread to his face as he pats his lap. "You're joking right?" I asked and he shook his head.

"Come on, just for a second."

"Move Laxus," I ordered and he didn't budge. This only caused his smirk to grow bigger.

"If you won't move I'll just go around," I said before turning the other way. Laxus's hand wrapped around my wrist and pulled me onto his lap.

A squeal left my lips as he wrapped his right arm around my waist. He put his left hand over my mouth keeping me from yelling at him. His head was turned to look down below at the guildhall.

"Calm down, geez. I don't need the whole guild knowing I'm messing around with you." He mumbled before turning his head back to me. He tucked his face in the crook of my neck and took in a deep breath.

He pulled his left hand away from my mouth. It snaked it's a way around my waist and pulled me closer to his chest. "What the hell are you doing?" I hissed at him in a low tone.

"This connection thing makes being away from you so hard." He mumbled into my hair and hugged me tighter. I closed my eyes and let my fingers intertwine with his.

I inhaled his scent and let myself relax in his grasp. The way his warmth engulfed my whole body made me want to stay like this forever. He took in another deep breath before slowly pulling away from me. He leaned back and ran his eyes over me as I continued to sit on his lap. I turned to give glare at him but stopped when I found a satisfied smiled in his face.

I let out a deep sigh and stood up from his lap. I walked around the sofa and stopped when I behind him. I looked back and contemplated if I should do what I was thinking.

"Just do it (F. Name)." He said causing me to smile softly. I stepped forward and placed my hands on his shoulders. I leaned around to give him a kiss on the cheek.

Before I could react he turned his head. Our lips pressed together and he grabbed my left arm. A squeak left my throat at the sudden action. He held me in place as he deepened the kiss. My lips started to tingle the longer we stayed together.

If I stay like this I'm gonna kiss him back.

I reached up and grabbed a fist full of his hair. I yanked his head back and he let out a yell of pain. "Knock it off." I hissed and pulled my arm out of his grasp. He glared at me and rubbed the back of his head.

"You didn't have to pull so hard." He mumbled as stared down at him.

"Pull that crap again and I'll kill you." I snapped and walked away from him.

"You enjoyed it and you can't deny that." He teased and I flipped him the finger.

"Piss off," I ordered before walking to the stairs.
