Chapter 3

We finally pulled up to the campground and got signed in. I got out of the truck and told mom I was gonna take a walk so why my dad got the camper set up I walked around the camp ground. What if I never go back? What if I slip away and never ever come back? This is my shot if I disappear now no one will suspect I ran away. I started walking to the woods at the end of the campground.

"Hey!" Said a guy.
I turned around to see the same guy from DQ.
"Hi." I said shyly.
He walked up to me.
"I forgot to tell you, you are very pretty!" He said.
I smiled and blushed.
"Me? Are you sure that was me?" I said.
"Hell yeah it was you, what's your name?" He asked.
"Stella, you?" I asked back.
"Wade and that's a very pretty name, but I guess it's fits the beauty." He said.
I blushed once again. By now he was smiling bigger than I've ever seen anyone smile.
"May I join you on your walk?" He asked.
"Ya sure." I said.
We started to walk. Well there goes my plans. We walked to the edge of the woods and sat down under a tree. He sat really close to me and I made me feel safe. I don't know how or why but it did.
"So where you from?" He asked.
"About 10 miles outside of Paducah, Kentucky, what about you?" I asked.
"Amarillo, Texas. But we are moving to Metropolis Ill this summer because of me dads job." He said excitedly.
"That's close to us!" I yelled a little.
"How old are you?" He asked.
"I'm 16." I replied.
"Cool I'm 17." He said.
My phone buzzed. I looked and it was Georgia.

'No problem girl and sorry mom made me do chores.' Georgia
"Hang on I'm so sorry." I apologized to him.
"No it's fine." He said.
I went to Facebook and went to a girl that goes to our schools page and saw pictures of Georgia at a party. The comments and picture was posted 2 hours to 45 minutes ago. She lied to me....once again I've been lied to. But I play stupid because I hate having fights with her. It's normal all I do is just play stupid.
'It's okay, your fine.' Stella.
I dropped my phone on the ground and looked back at him.
"Is everything okay? You looked pissed." He asked.
"It's just so many people lie to me and stuff, and I know they are but I play stupid so I don't get in fights and stuff..." I trailed off.
"Hey I don't know how much you like me yet but I'm gonna tell you a secret." He said.
My heart started to race. He leaned in closer to me and whispered softly in my ear.
"I lost my older sister and people made fun of me too......I cut..." He trailed off like I did.
I looked at him and he looked ashamed he had told me. He got farther away from me and was soon sitting the way he was before.
"Well I have a secret too." I said.
I leaned in the same way he did and whispered.
"I do too." He looked at me and smiled.
"That's hard to believe." He said.
"Well it's true." I replied.
