When we finally got to the campground around 8:00. I walked around like I do every time we go to a campground. I didn't eat supper because I'm not hungry. I'm not in the mode so I just didn't. I looked around at the places where me and my cousin played as kids and remember the memories. The only cousin that texts me year round is Carson and that's because I'm his favorite cousin and he's also 18. He's also the only normal one. The others are just weird in many ways. Plus they alway make rude comments about me and they don't care if I hear.

There was a nicer breeze as I walked and I could smell the fresh air. All of a sudden my feet were taken from the ground and I squealed. "Wow, I've never heard you squeal like that!" The guy said laughing, I looked at him. "Carson!!" I yelled. He was holding me like a baby. "Hey girl." He replied. "How are you doing?" I asked. "Good! You?" He answered. "Okay." I lied. "Good." He said. I told myself over and over again smile, acted happy, and don't let your real feelings show. Hide this from everyone because everyone will hate you. Carson has helped me a couple times before but doesn't know the truth. "I got to show you something." He said taking my hand and leading me to there camper. He took me into it and he took me to the back were his room is. He went to his dresser and handed me a his wallet. "Whats this for?" I asked. "You'll see. Come on follow me." He said running out of the camper.

I ran after him. He got in his truck so I did too. "I told my mom and yours that we'll be gone a long time and I told them we'd have a good time. You okay with that?" He said. "Hell ya!" I yelled. We pulled out of the campground and we headed across the Canadian border. We got to a town and we went to a local restaurant and he asked me if I've eaten yet? I shook my head. "Really?" He asked. I nodded. "Well let's fix that." He said. We got out of the truck and went in. We sat at a table and ordered burgers and coke. "So after this I thought we could go out to uncle Brads and take the truck through the mud holes." He said. "Sounds great!" I said. "Yes." He said. "So how's things with you and Lucas?" My heart sunk. He doesn't know he doesn't know about what happened.

It was only 5 months ago and I haven't told him. "He's... Uhhh..he's .....gone..." As I said that word a strange feeling came over me. "He broke up with you?" He said protectively. "No, he..he w-was killed." I said as the walls of tears filled my eyes. "How?" He asked. "He hung himself...." I said. "Why?" He asked again. I sighed and carried on, " a couple of his friends made him believe that he did something he didn't and he really felt bad about it so when we went to his friends party he ran out in the woods. No one could find him so we went out side to look, well I remembered seeing him walk out of the back door so I head out that way...." I tears started rolling down my cheek. Then I came across a note....." I trailed off. "Then I walked a little more and there he was hanging from the tree." I finished. Carson got up and came over and gave me a hug. "It's okay." He said. His face was stunned. All he could think to say was its okay.

The waiter came up and handed us our food and I ate as I could feel myself panting still from crying. When we were done we headed off to Uncle Brads property. He stopped at the gate and got out of the truck. There are 4 dirt roads when you enter the property. One lead to Brads house. The other one goes to the barn and the rest lead to woods and pastures. He came back with a 6 pack of beer. "you're only 16 sorry." He said opening one. "And you're only 18." I said as I grabbed one. These moments of fake happiness kills me but as long as everyone else is happy.
