- Derrick -
I was watching her sleep while playing her hair. I like having her close to me, I like the way she has to have her hand on my chest, I like her in my bed with her head on my shoulder. I smiled when her pretty brown eyes fluttered open. She's just naturally pretty.

"Morning, my sleeping beauty." I said and smiled.

"Morning." She said and rubbed her eyes before sitting up. "What time is it?"

"Eleven." I said as I sat up.

"I really don't feel like working today." She said and yawned.

"We don't have to. Thomas, Dylan and Carmen are working today." I told her as I grabbed my phone.

"We need to though." She said and looked at me.

"Says who? I own the shop, I say we stay here." I told her before texting Thomas. "I'm hungry."

"Lazy ass." She said before getting up and pulling down the shirt she had on and leaving the room.

"Says the woman who doesn't want to go to work." I said as I followed her to the kitchen.

"I work for you, what's your excuse?" She asked as she looked at me.

"My excuse is that you're willing to cook for me." I said as I sat down and smiled.

"I'm not willing to cook for anyone but myself but be lucky I'm not a bitch in the morning." She said before pulling out eggs, bacon and pancake mix.

"You're a beautiful, messy-haired, sweetheart." I commented and laughed.

"Very funny, I'm dying of laughter." She said sarcastically as she washed her hands and rinsed out a skillet before putting it on the stove.

"You were last night."

"That's because you tried to tickle me to death and then you fell and busted your ass. I couldn't help myself." She said and smiled.

"I could've hurt myself."

"It was your fault, you the one who wasn't looking where you were going. I still would of laughed."

"How nice of you babe." I said sarcastically as I went and turned on the television.

"I'm nicer than you!" She yelled from the kitchen.

"Sure you are." I said and flipped through the channels until I found an interesting one.

I really feel like she actually likes me now but her dad might ruin it and that's what scares me the most. I don't know what I'll do if he says the wrong thing. I just hope she just loves me anyway because I really love her.

"Derrick your breakfast is done." I heard her say as she sat next to me and starting eating.

"So you didn't make me a plate?" I asked and looked at her.

"I made you breakfast, so get your lazy ass up and go get some." She said and smiled.

"Wow, I see." I said before going to the kitchen and made myself a plate.

I shook my head when I sat next to her and she put her legs in my lap. She really is comfortable around me for once. She's not talking soft and acting distant. She's smiling and laughing. Being herself is what I've been working towards this whole time. She's so beautiful in her natural state.

"Why are you staring at me?" She asked as she put her plate on the table.

"No reason." I said and smiled before eating my breakfast.
