On the other hand, Red Mafia was in no negotiating mind to retreat from what they had already begun. Everything was set forth in papers and now it was the time to execute them. Red Mafia was not only a terror but a whole new threat, the country had ever seen. The red band they wore over their hand would always separate them from normal civilians in Sicily. And they were in no shape to be called normal after committing numerous crimes dipping their hand in blood. But this time they were going for big. Something no one would imagine.
Everyone gathered on the balcony with the rebel residing below them, holding guns in their hand.
"My brother and sister are going to rob these filthy rats. Tomorrow exactly at nine in the evening.", Stefano announced.
"As discussed earlier, I and Stefano will head towards Federal bank and Mancuso and Saverina will trace out the officials along with Antonio. We know those fat rats have a lot to offer us. We won't go easy on them", continued Marcus, "And after we are done with bank, we will join you shortly."
"How are we going to trace out the house of officials? I mean we don't know who lives where. It's going to be somehow complicated.", Saverina showed her concerns.
"Exactly, that's why we have Antonio on our side. He has been living in Palermo for years and he knows the preferred destination. He got the name. We shall not worry about that.", Stefano replied.
Everyone nodded their head in profound excitement. They knew they were one step ahead of everyone and it helped them to boost up their morals.
"And what if police know about it and they might be ready to butcher us? Won't this be a suicidal trap? We don't know what's waiting for us beyond those borders?", Saverina shared her delicate curiosity.
"Saverina is right. We don't know how many armed men will be their, nor the ammunition they carry. We don't wanna leave any loopholes, right?", Mancuso worriedly said.
They were ready to cause the havoc but they had a thin layer of doubt on their plan which was not going to work for them. Stefano knew this. He had to act credibly at any cost for the success.
Stefano acknowledged the queries," As per my spies, police are still unknown what's going to hit them. Still, the town is aware due to gunshot fire last time but everything seems like any normal days. I see your concerns, Mancuso. Let me ask you something. Have we ever failed? Have we? No, we haven't. We have always won every battle we fought no matter how strong our opponents were. We have beaten every ass we ever put our foot at. Let them have as many officers as they can allocate. We will always outnumber them. Our cause is enough to make the result fall on our side."
"We are not thieves, we are a whole new system they gotta digest and they will eventually no matter what. The fear we have cultivated among the people will do enough for them to cooperate with us. And the policemen, well, if they want bloodshed on the ground, we will flood them with everything we have.", Marcus honored the statement of Stefano punching his fist in the air.
A big round of applaud came from everyone from below the balcony. Stefano was content with the determination he saw in his commanders and rebellion.
"Any queries left or we good to go?", asked Stefano.
"Didn't we agree to rob Federal Bank initially? So how we ended up bringing those officials in this chaos?", asked Saverina.
"We are always open to improvising on our ideas here. We seek for purpose and if we happen to see in one, we don't give it an excuse, we sabotage it", continued Stefano," Yes, it was our initial idea to execute the plan to rob the bank but we shall not forget those officials are the leeches scattered by the government to suck the blood of people like your father and mine. These are the one who helps to form the foundation of this whole sick bureaucracy. We are not criminals. We have a cause, cause to transform this country into a better place to live. Our cause won't spare any of these leeches."
A warm glow of radiance was seen in the face of Saverina. Maybe, because she was going to fight for her lost cause of survival, her father. Now, there were no doubts left to be answered.
"All of my brother and sister, we are on a voyage to achieve something big, something we all have been fighting for this long. This raid will be a red light to the Sicilian government. We wanna be on their radar reminding them of what might strike them anytime. Our journey begins from here and I assure you all there lies a better life after this." promised Stefano.
"We shall rest now. All of you can go to your tents.", Marcus announced.
All of them headed to their settlement which was a tent. Everyone left but Saverina was staying there. Antonio was about the leave but Saverina stopped him.
"Antonio?"
"Yes!"
"May I get the names of the officials?"
"Of course, here it is."
Antonio gave the list of names he had mentioned. Saverina moved her eyes all over the names and felt like she was not satisfied with it.
"May I know something else. Where do you go every night after nine? I see you sneaking out.", asked Saverina ready to cripple Antonio.
"No, nothing much. I go out just to smoke."
"I bet you can smoke in your tent too. Are you gonna be that traitor we see in every perfect plan?"
"I am sorry. I don't know what are you talking about," replied Antonio with a red face as if ready to puke out.
"See. I don't want this to end in hard ways. We can sort it out now."
"How?"
"I gotta add a name here, simple as that. Senor."
"But..."
Saverina stopped Antonio in the middle.
"Do we have a deal?", asked Saverina.
"Yes!", replied Antonio helplessly.
