45: Tetris in His Bed
'Alec MacSweeny Denies Rumors About His Girlfriend'—NME.com
Alec
I study Tetris' sleeping form from my sitting position at the other end of the sofa.
We decided to take a nap once we were alone in my hotel room. The events from today freely running on my mind when I woke up not a minute ago.
When she passed out, I quickly snapped into action and brought her out of there. The local paramedics informed me that it may be from anxiety and fatigue. She told us that she had gone straight from the airport and was anxious throughout the ride. That, and the fact that Holland just returned her journal and I pressured her on stage with thousands of onlookers. It had been too much.
I suffered the same thing weeks ago.
In my case, I'd been uncomfortable in my own skin when she came into my life. I felt as though I didn't deserve to stand there to sing the words that weren't mine. It made me sick to my stomach, everything became too much; the thoughts, the crowd chants, the things she told me. It was as if my brain was going to explode. I broke down then, before the walls closed in on me that I passed out.
But looking at her now brings out flutters in my chest that I can't shrug off. She makes me feel things I've never felt before. Her voice, her stolen stares when she thinks I'm not looking, her plump lips and her innocent touches make me burn in all the right places.
These last seven days have been hell without her.
I crave every bit of her. The only thing that was keeping me sane was the green circle that indicated my messages were being sent. It was something I held dearly, knowing that she wasn't completely shutting me out.
The said woman stirs, her lashes fluttering open, and green eyes appear like an electric shock to my system as they find mine. A lazy smile then graces her face, eliciting one from my own. "Why, hello there, Red."
I swallow her sweet chuckle as I lean down to devour her mouth. Her slim fingers brush through my hair, bringing me closer, her tongue dancing around mine. Every soft moan from her luscious lips sends a string of tingles all the way to my groin.
She pulls back, the pads of her fingers tracing my lips. Eyes so bright hypnotize mine so well that she's all I can see. "Remember that night I left your house?"
My face pulls into a gentle scowl. I remember that all right. "Ah, I remember knocking on your door and finding your room empty. What about it?" I can't help the slight bitterness in my tone, my hands caressing her bare thighs on both sides of my waist.
She does her famous eye roll, causing a smirk from me. "I didn't know guilt trip is your style."
"Yeah. I can show you my other styles when we get to it. So come on now, what's up?"
I catch her delicate hand that is about to smack my chest and kiss each of her fingers. Pleasure shines in her eyes as she watches me. "Well, Cyprus told me something."
I freeze.
She uses the tips of her nails to trace my jaw, drawing out shivers down my spine, and distracting me. I don't even care what Cyprus told her. I just want her now. God, I missed her touch.
