JAY LOOKED AROUND the dark forest for Adelaide. He didn't want to give up on his best friend because the eyes decided to snatch the poor girl. She was there for him in his darkest days and he's helping her through her dark days. He didn't want to lose Adelaide. His sisters tease him endlessly for having a 'crush' on the carefree 'trash child' that is called Adelaide Queen. He didn't have a crush, she was taken by her girlfriend and he was sure on his stance on the sexuality spectrum that ranges from absence of colour to the brightest combinations possible. He didn't want to share because his sisters have the power to make sure he never goes home without a bruise ever again.
Jay sighed, trudging further into the darkening forest. He sighed as his sandy blond hair swayed in the wind. He tries to tame the wild hair so he can look for Adelaide better but gave up with his hair taming so he can have more time looking for his friend.
Jay stumbled slightly as he ended up at a small clearing, his eyes looking cautiously around, weary of the comforting eyes. He stumbled again after nearly tripping over a medium sized rock, he sighed and looked up.
His blood ran cold, his eyes widen as he felt himself stiffen. No.
Adelaide hung emotionlessly from a tree branch, her dark burgundy brown-ish hair swaying further than her body in the harsh wind. Adelaide's eyes were opened in terror as her mouth was opened, seemingly in shock or to scream, her limbs cut or sawed. Jay noticed pieces of her were missing, seemingly dissected. Jay's pupils shrunk in terror at the fact the eyes might of done this. He quickly got his coordinates from Google Maps and sent them to Mrs and Mr Queen, telling them to call police to go here.
He didn't want them to see this.
He was staring at his emotionlessly swaying friend, her noose strong as her body was messy.
He was snapped out of his trance when a group of people moved behind him, he turned to see some police officers who were staring at the scene in front of him.
He looked shocked, terror in his eyes before one of the officers rushed over to him and turned his head, quickly comforting him as he sobbed. "Hey there, do you know what happened?" The officer asked the traumatized boy calmly, "I- she was snatched a few days ago..I-i went t-to find her." Jay started, letting out a heart retching sob as the officer tried to comfort him.
"What's her name?" The officer asked calmly as more officers and detectives were called to the scene, "Addie - I mean, Adelaide Queen." Jay spoke shakily.
An hour later both Mr and Mrs Queen were informed as Jay was taking to the station to speak to detectives.
"Can you tell me what happened?" One of the detectives asked coldly, Jay took breath before answering, "Addie i- was missing, she was snatched a few days ago. I didn't see who.., I went to Mr and Mrs Queen to call the cops and I've been going into the forest searching for her. I- I came across the body because I was searching for her, I thought she'd still be alive... I texted Mr and Mrs Queen because I didn't know if anyone was still around.." Jay took a shaky breath, the other detective looked at him sympathetically, "I-i..I just wished I could've..stopped it." Jay shakily spoke, his fingers tapping against each other to show his discomfort as he taps his foot on the floor slightly. "Thank you for your time." The detective spoke before leaving, Jay nodded as he stood up and left.
Jay sighed, he was walking home to face his sisters and parents. To face the music.
Yet the eyes still watch him intently like he was a movie.
A/N- I want to apologize again for you waiting for so long for me to update. I've been prioritising another story since it gets a lot of "can't wait for another update!" after updating.
