Chapter 2}Stuck in a rather awkward situation, so, how to break the news?

{Zim}I grumbled angrily as Gir landed in front of my lair and skipped inside as I simply tailed quietly behind him. Once inside, Gir immediately fetched a med-kit and darted off to the kitchen with the words,"I'm going to make waffles!!!" while I sat on the couch and applied some irken freeze packs to the various bruises covering my body from that wretched Dib human, wincing once I applied one to the bruise on the back of my head. For the next few minutes I watched the disgusting human tv with nothing else in mind to do until Gir finally finished the waffles, he shrieked about finishing them before setting them down and changing the channel to the stupid 'Angry Monkey' show. I groaned in annoyance and grabbed a few waffles and walked to the trash can and descended to my lab, stepping out I looked around and sighed. About 2 or 3 human years ago my tallests had banished me, giving me all the supplies I needed to survive the rest of my life and cut off communication from me. I silently walked toward my computer and sat down while taking off my disguise and typing up facts about all of the different earth holidays, since I now had no choice but to live on this ball of disgusting dirt, I might as well finish my research on it to better fit in. As I typed I began to think about the fight that had occurred today between me and Dib-stink, which had only happened because he still thinks i'm trying to conquer earth, and so is still trying to stop me. He had not one clue I had been banished and am now no longer an invader 'perhaps I should tell him of my banishment' it would end our conflict and I could finally abandon the stupid human and he would finally leave me be. I thought about it for a good minute and agreed to tell him tomorrow at lunch time. After that I decided to pause on my research and exited my lab to find Gir asleep on the couch, so I picked up the remote and swapped the channel, sitting down and silently watching the show I had put on, my mind strangely drifting back to Dib-worm and the fight.

The Next Day...

{Dib}I sighed as I walked up to the high skool, Gaz shortly behind me. I was about to walk in when a paper airplane hit me on the head, I grabbed it and looked to see my name written neatly on one of the wings of it. I cocked an eyebrow and slightly unfolded it to find an equally neat note written inside,

Dib-stink, Meet me at lunch, I must talk with you.

I looked around until my eyes locked onto the purple contacts of Zim, his eyes strangely sorrowful as he turned and walked into the skool. I quickly followed after him but by the time I got inside he was already gone, unnecessarily disappointed that I lost him, I walked up to my locker and retrieved and put away everything that I did and didn't need and hurried off to my first class, math. Though, something I noticed is that all throughout class I couldn't stop thinking about the look Zim gave me before he went into the building this morning. Needless to say, by the end of class I had pretty much driven myself insane trying not to think about, and my next class and who I shared it with didn't help. I sighed and went to my locker to prepare for my next class, science, which I shared with Zim and Gaz, so I wasn't as happy and enthusiastic as I usually would be. One because after science we have lunch, which is when Zim wanted to talk to me, and the fact that Gaz would be there, staring at me the whole time or on her stupid game system. When I got to the classroom I noticed that the teacher and majority of the students haven't arrived yet, so I looked around until I spotted Zim sitting in the back of the class,staring at his desk until he suddenly looked up and locked eyes with me, the look in his eyes the same as it was this morning. We looked at each other a little longer until he then darted his eyes away from me and looked out of the window next to his desk, so I let out a small sigh and walked to the back of the class and sat in the desk next to his. Zim noticed and whipped his head to me and stared at me with a shocked and confused face. I simply waved and turned my attention to my notes that I had been studying for the test next week, but I couldn't help but notice Zim slowly and hesitantly lean toward me, not taking his eyes off the window and not say anything to me. Then the rest of the class and teacher walked into the classroom so I put away my notes and saw Zim turn to the teacher as I did. Then throughout the class period I constantly found Zim staring at me or nudging me when he was stuck on a question, which was not like him at all. I ended up being so caught up in Zim's unusual behavior, I didn't even notice when the bell rang and all the students and the teacher left for lunch. Once I noticed I hurriedly packed up my things and headed for the door, but before I could leave I felt someone holding my coat so I turned and saw Zim holding onto it,"Stay." Was all he said so I simply closed the door once making sure none saw us and leaned against the wall,"Ok... so, what did you want to talk about?"
