Chapter 4}Relationship reset, this time for good

{Dib}After me and Zim separated from our hug we dashed off to lunch, which we never even eat, but eh, why not. We talked all through lunch, everyone looking at us strangely due to this, but we didn't care. All through the rest of the skool day we said hi at some points when we saw each other, and when skool ended, a storm began as I walked toward the front of the skool and saw Zim leaning against a pillar in front of the staircase leading out of the skool. He then looked up and awkwardly smiled, since he rarely ever smiled, when he saw me and I pulled out my umbrella,"Heh, good thing I brought this with me today."Zim snickered at my comment and stepped under the umbrella and we headed off toward his house,"Oh um Zim, if you want, you could stay at my place tonight. I promise I won't try to expose you." I said and he nodded with another one of his small, rare smiles on his face. I smiled back and we continued down the now rain soaked sidewalk, seeing Gir walk out of Bloaty's and jump into a puddle that was just next to the sidewalk, squealing and yelling non understandable things as he jumped up and down. As we walked up he saw us and bolted up and looked up at me,"Hey Mary!" He screamed, for some reason he constantly called me that,"Hey Gir.""GIR!!! What are you doing out here?" Zim semi screamed at Gir and he turned and looked at Zim,"I'M EATIN BLOATY'S!!!" Gir replied and Zim facepalmed as I chuckled,"Did you at least lock the house?""YEP!!!""Good. I'm going to be at Dib's house for the night. I'll be back tomorrow, and keep the house on lock-down until I return, got it?"Zim explained and Gir saluted to Zim,"YES SIR!!!" He screamed and went back to jumping in the puddle he had been jumping in originally. Zim sighed in dismay as we walked away from him and continued toward my house, seeing it in the distance we both glanced at each other,"So... what do you want to do anyway, once we get my house of course." I asked and Zim put a hand on his chin in thought and looked forward, meeting my gaze again after a few seconds,"I heard there was something called a'movie' that humans usually own, do you have any we can watch?" Zim asked looking up at me in anticipation, Yeah. I have some movies, want me to choose it or you?""You can choose it. But it better not be something stupid." He told me and I laughed softly as a bit of his old self seeped in. Once we arrived at my house the rain had stopped but I kept the umbrella up in case of the water dripping off of the roof from the storm, we didn't speak as we walked in to my dad and Gaz talking on the couch as Gaz played video games, I motioned to Zim not to say anything and he nodded. I then grabbed his hand and led him silently upstairs to my room and closed the door behind me after putting up a 'do not disturb' sign on it so my dad and Gaz wouldn't bother coming in to see if I was home, then I turned and walked to my dvd shelf and pulled out a random movie, which ended up being a horror movie I had just bought a few days ago and haven't watched yet. "What did you pick?" I jumped as Zim's voice sounded from behind me and I turned, showing him the case and he nodded while following me to my bed where I motioned for him to sit on while I put in the dvd, then pulling out some snacks from my stash. They were mostly candy and some junk food that was far from expiration so I didn't have to worry about it being spoiled, and Zim could eat the candy due to his sugar only irken diet. I walked over to my bed and sat down next to Zim after grabbing all of the snacks we would need to last the whole movie,"Here are some snacks, you should be able to eat the candy since it is pretty much just sugar."I said spreading out all of the snacks and letting Zim see all of the options, he looked up and nodded after looking at them all. We both sat down and focused as the previews began.
