As I was walking I tripped over someone's leg. And that leg belonged to none other than Zachary David Porter, the most popular guy in school.
I looked up from the ground, he and all his friends were laughing at me.
I picked myself off the floor and grabbed my books and quickly took my seat.
It was math, which was really easy for me. It went by really fast, and I didnt want it to get closer to the end of the day.
I went to pick up my little brother from school first, then headed home.
I walked into his class, "Jamie, you can go home now, your sisters here," his teacher said when I walked in.
Jamie looked at me and ran to me. I picked him up. If it wasn't for him, I would be gone.
I put him into the car seat, "Did you have fun at school today?" I asked him.
"Yeah! I painted, colored, and played with blocks!" he said excitedly.
I looked at him and smiled.
We reached our house.
I helped him out of his car seat. Our parents weren't home.
I grabbed my backpack and unlocked the door. Jamie ran in.
I looked into the kitchen and saw Jamie sitting on the table. I took out something for him to eat.
I took out my homework to finish.
At about 5pm my mom and dad came in through the door.
"Oh, you're still here?" my dad asked in an ugly tone.
"Yeah I am. But don't worry the second I turn 18 I'm leaving, with Jamie," I said back to him.
"Whatever," my mom said coming towards me.
I see her hand, with her really long nails getting closer and closer.
I don't retreat, because I know there's no use and it'll only be worse.
Her hand came and scratched me on either sides of my face.
She laughed at me.
I turned away, rolled my eyes, and went up to my room.
I looked in the mirror and saw 3 scratches on one side if my face, and 4 on the other.
I took out my makeup, and tried to figure out what would work best to cover it.
Finally I had the perfect combination to go with my skin.
I went into Jamie's room.
He was sitting on the floor playing with cars.
I looked at my watch and realized it was 6. I went downstairs to get some dinner for Jamie and I.
There wasn't much. But for Jamie I found some leftover spaghetti. I wouldn't eat today, again.
"Jamie, come eat!" I yelled to him.
"Coming!" he yelled back.
10 minutes later he came down.
"Are you eating?" he asked me.
"I already ate, you took forever," I said to him behind a fake smile. I dint want to tell him.
He ate quickly, and then at 8, I got him to sleep after I read him a story.
I sat down on the couch. I can't wait to get out of here, I thought. I can't take my parents anymore.
At 11pm I went upstairs, and took off my makeup that was covering up all my marks.

RomanceI was late to class today. Like usual. No one knows why, and no one cares. I get straight A's, and I'm quiet. I have dirty blonde hair and light blue eyes, I'm about 5'6". I walked to my seat at the back of the classroom.
