Friendships Mistaken

At the hospital a nurse helped Ashanti by wrapping splint around her ankle and gave her crutches as she made her way to Diane who was in the waiting area.

The second she seen her she was shocked to see that she was still in her dress from yesterday as she got up from her chair "You didn't go home to change?" She shook her head as she looked at me with a smile as if she was about to laugh.

"Why would I leave you here to be released any moment just to go shower and change? *Laughs* you're weird" Ashanti puffed her cheeks and jokingly punched her in the left shoulder while holding her crutches under her.

"You're a asshole" They laughed a bit as she started guiding her out the hospital doors as a blue Nissan was there waiting as she opened the door for her and got in the drivers seat.

"Let's go ahead and head to school, before the teachers think we're skipping okay" She smiled as she floored the gas pedal as they was away from the hospital in seconds.

Once they reached the HighSchool they parked behind the school in the student parking lot as they got out as they made their way into the school building.

People passed by them as Diane walked up to her locker as it was black like all the others as she opened it as I seen her grab two sweat tops and a pair of jeans as she closed her locker "Now what kind of girl would I be if I wasn't prepared?" She smiled as she handed Ashanti a red one as hers was white as they both have black lettering on the left sleeve.

"I'm gonna go to the bathroom to put my stuff on be right back" She ran off into the bathroom that was in front of us as Ashanti tried slipping on the sweat top on her own as she lost balance on accident and felt herself going down "I got you" She felt a pair of arms wrap around her waist as she heard her crutches hit the ground.

She freaked out in his arms for a bit as her neck had caught a cramp from the excessive movement and from freaking herself out like that as her heart was racing in her chest "Thanks for catching me" Once she felt the mysterious person pull the sweat top down she got a good look at his face.

He was a brown skin boy who stood at least six feet tall if not taller as his dark brown eyes locked on with hers as it seemed like time slowed down as her hip was joined with his as he let her stand by using him as a crutch.

"No problem, I seen you falling off your crutches so I moved as fast as I could to catch you and from the way your neck is twitching I'd say whiplash and probably lack of hydration too" He reached up to her right shoulder and massaged it a bit as she closed her eyes and enjoyed the feeling.

"Who's your friend Ashanti?" She jumped up as the boy looked her way calmly as Diane checked him out as he reached out his hand "You can call me Tay, I'm sorta new around here" Diane was somewhat surprised as she shook his hand.

"Well I'm Diane and my friend that your clutching to is Ashanti" Ashanti immediately became shy as she looked away from him as he chuckled while holding onto her and picking up the crutches.

"Well it's nice to meet you both, try not to fall on that again it would be a shame if a pretty girl like you was start living in the hospital because of injuries" She started laughing but held it in as he was headed towards the cafeteria.

They waited until he was out of earshot as Diane rapped her shoulder quickly as she couldn't sit still "Girl you got you a boyfriend!" She was ready to say no as Diane shushed her as as if she didn't wanna hear it.

On the way down to the cafeteria they seen a group of boys at a table being loud even though everybody else is too they were as equally loud by themselves as Diane rolled her eyes and kept walking.
