LAST CHAPTER!

*

The wolf was big compared to Seokjin, almost as tall as his hip with its soft black fur and red eyes.

Seokjin looked at him, fangs pointed out and claws ready to rip open his skin.

How sad, to think that the wolf before him used to shoulder up all of his burdens.

Back then when he was still recovering, even until now, the black wolf would be the one who took the blame.

An omega.

The only one who survived.

A traitor.

Seokjin used to think like that, it was hard to accept the reality that he was not guilty.

Everything started to fall into their places, the conflict once again died out and what left behind was the ruins.

Maybe he could start over.

Maybe he could just lay there and go back to sleep.

It was easy to just shrug everything off like how he used to do.

To just run and shut his eyes, covering his ears.

But he ended up hurting too many when he ran away.

He remembered the day he almost runs from his mate, seeing Taehyung came and chased him off was the turning point.

That he would stop, he won't run away again.

Unrevealing the truth was never easy, finding the truth about his clan and even found out he had an aunt.

The black wolf once again growled at him, eyes sharp with the intention to kill Seokjin.

It was no lie, that Seokjin wronged the wolf countlessly.

The wolf never even once bite him, but he always blamed him.

Just because the wolf existed.

I'm sorry, he wanted to say.

Forgive me, he wanted to whisper.

But perhaps it wasn't what the wolf wanted, as Seokjin saw the wolf's ears flattened on his head and its tail tucked down between his legs.

Maybe the wolf never asked for an apology.

Not even once.

Seokjin knew, deep down what the wolf wanted the most, he walked slowly approaching the black creature.

Its eyes glistened, crimson orbs with unshed tears.

Seokjin's crooked fingers slowly touched its head, soft fur and the wolf whimpered as the omega caressed its head gently.

"It's alright," Seokjin knelt down before him, eyes softened as he tilted his head, "it's okay now," he continued.

The hand slowly pulled the omega closer, black fur changed into black hair and the wolf slowly morphed into his other form.

Seokjin held the little boy close, listening to their heartbeats as the little boy wailed inside his embraces.

"It's alright," he said once again, eyes teary and the tears drenched his cheeks.

The little boy sobbed harder, hand clenching the older man's shirt.

Seokjin smiled, looking down and watching his younger self hiccupping, he kissed the tears gently as he wiped the tears on the other cheek.
