Getting them into the car was difficult because they just wouldn't leave without the furs from the little cave. Jack took it upon himself to take them and beckoned his new friend to follow him to the car back in the parking lot. Without a second thought they left with the blonde Labrador.

Louis and Legosi stayed behind for a moment.

"Tell me why we're doing this again?" The stern voice of the deer asked. Legosi felt his ears flatten back against his head and his tail hung low behind his legs this didn't go unnoticed. "Legosi?" He called for him to answer back.

"I'm scared that if anyone else finds them, they'll get eaten." He says as he crouches down to the small fire pit left behind. Louis sighs and turns his gaze to the direction the other two had gone, he doesn't see them anymore past the long brown trees. The small scrapes of rocks catch his attention back to the wolf and he lights the forgotten sticks on fire. Their shadows appear onto the grass and dance with the blaze. "I know that they used to live here with others. That's what those fur blankets are for." He continues to talk "They seem to have parted from each other and now they're alone." He stands to walk to the small cave and grabs a small sack that was left, it's full of fish but this doesn't faze the deer. "I can't let them stay here alone Louis." He finishes as he throws the sack into the fire.

"But I can't let anyone else know that they exist. Something about this doesn't sit right with me."

Louis closes his eyes and smiles softly.

"Okay."

Whatever that's left behind they burn it.

The drive home was quite amusing, they sat in the back of the car clinging to the seats. Louis was thankful they didn't have long claws to tear holes into them.

It was also quite the moment when it was time to part ways with Jack but eventually the hairless animal let him go. Once he was gone, they wrapped themselves tight with the furs they had brought. Legosi tried to comfort them but it didn't seem to be wanted and he frowned when he heard them whine in the back seat.

"Hey you hungry?"

"We have food at home."

Legosi ignores the deer and hums for a moment "Food?" He asks them but he was met with a frown.

Then he excitedly repeats the word and which earns him a curious blink, "Ooh.." they let out wondering what he means but it seems that Legosi has gotten them distracted. "Legosi what are you doing?" Louis asks when they reach a red light "I'm trying to see if they're hungry." He responds, then Legosi's remembers something in his bag. He pulls out a pack of gummies and opens it, "No eating in my car." Louis grumbles out but the wolf doesn't pay him mind and returns his focus to the back seat. Slowly he pushes his hand out with a few different colored gummies, slowly the wolf watches them lean over to look at them and again they tilt their head. Legosi smiles as they sniff the gummies and poke a tongue out to a red colored one. Happily, they pick it up and eat it. "Oooh!!" They coo to the wolf, he chuckles as they eat the rest out of his hand, leaving him two. Gently they push their nose against them to roll over to Legosi on his palm.

He smiles and eats them happily. "Thank you." He continues to chat with them, hoping it'll bring some sense of comfort, "I hope you'll be comfortable with Louis." His claw points to his right where Louis is sat driving, he hums in response as he focuses on the road.

"Looo." They both hear them say softly. "YEA!! Look Louis they said your name."

"Barely." He mumbles and they finally make it back to his home. The gate opens and they drive through and head down to the garage. Just when Legosi is going to walk out to coax his friend out the car Louis tells him to wait, the wolf obeys and waits for the deer to finish his thought. "So my father is coincidentally out of town on business. If we're going to take care of them-" Legosi nods to show him he's listening and the deer shuts the car off "I think it'll be best if you also stay here for the week."
