Mabel... , I literally screamed my best friend name for the 100th times now. It's past 10am and she's still on bed and today is supposed to be a great day for me. I'll finally get to meet my supposed online crush Cody , we've been friends online for 3months now, and I must say he have proven himself to be a great person, we vibe most of the time you would think we've known each other for years. So we finally decided to see each other today and my so called best friend that is supposed to be putting be in other was still crashing on her bed.

Mabel, I yelled her name again but no response. I strolled lazily to her room, found her sleeping upside down with her mouth open to the world smh.
Mabel I tapped her, can u just wake up already please, you've been sleeping for so long, am seriously starting to get worried, you know what today is and how much we've been looking forward to this day , please just get up let's get ready. She finally moved her body scrunching her face in anger mumbling unknown words. Mabel I shouted again, she was on her feet in no time. I've known Mabel for years now and one thing is sure that she's not a morning person but what do I care, smiles.
She grumpily went to the bathroom to do her business while I waited for her, finally she came out cleaner than before.

After an hour 30 minutes, Mabel was finished performing her magic on me, I must say I've never been so proud to have a best friend like Mabel, the girl is really talented, i looked at my reflection on the mirror and I must swear I looked beautiful, don't get me wrong.. is not like I'm ugly or something, am your normal average pretty girl, with right curves at the right place..I'm really not into all this makeup and stuffs because am kind of comfortable with myself the way I am. But desperate times calls for desperate measures right?. I really looked extra pretty thanks to Mabel. My mind quickly drifted to Cody, wandering how his reaction is going to be when we finally meet. I remembered our chat last night when he said he can't wait to see me in the flesh , I smiled quickly to that thought but was brought back to earth when Mabel hit my head telling me drooling time is over.

I went over to my phone and was surprised I didn't see any missed calls or messages. Yes I was running late but don't blame.. baby girl has to be fashionably late right?. Oh no what am I thinking. I decided to give him a call, he picked after the 3rd ring but wasn't saying anything, the place was sounded noisy and I was trying to get him to talk but to no avail. So I dropped the call and thought quickly that he might be in a traffic or something. This my people is actually my first date, I've finally decided to go out of my shell and live life normally, I've always wondered what it was like to have a boyfriend and stuffs , been surrounded by three over protective brothers didn't help atoll, they always made sure I wasn't seen around any guy, they also scared the brave guy's that came around to stay away from me. Growing up was hell but I just had to make peace with my whole situation, they were just trying to protect me right?..

My phone buzzed notifying me of an incoming message from Cody.
Cody: am sorry i haven't called you yet, something came up but it's settled now, am on my way now to come get you, can't wait to see you.
Me: okay it's fine, can't wait to see you too.
I smiled sheepishly to myself, everything seemed to be happening too fast , not that I was complaining or something, I really couldn't wait to see him.
Mabel wished me luck on my date and went upstairs, I don't know what was wrong with her but I made a quick mental note to make sure I find out about her later, cuz she's been acting really weird since morning.

Finally heard a knock on the door, grabbed my clutch and my phone and went to meet my date. I opened the door gently and my people I must say Cody was breathtakingly handsome in his tux and ruffled hair plus his piercing blue eyes, I was almost lost in his orbs before I was brought back to earth by Cody. I couldn't believe this was happening, my palms were sweating already as I looked at him not knowing what to say. Everything was just seeming awkward until her brought out a bouquet of flowers and gave to me, the flowers were so beautiful like the hands that gave it to me . I took it in and kept it very well and finally went out to meet Cody, he took my hand gently and led me to his car. The car was wow I must say, I don't too know much about cars but am sure this here cost a fortune. Cody led me around the car and opened the door for me like a gentleman that he is making me blush lightly and entering inside. He turned over to the the other side and gave the driver instructions on were to go. All through the ride I was silent and kept on holding to my clutch lightly. Today was really going to be a big day.
