Official Completion of Black Shadow + Upcoming Story

Hello everyone!!

As of today, Black Shadow is officially completed!

It's been such a privilege to share this story with you! I hope everyone enjoyed it!! I loved reading everyone's comments and hearing your thoughts, even if I didn't reply directly to them. Reading the comments was my favorite part after posting each chapter.

When I started writing Black Shadow, I actually didn't expect it to get as much attention as it did. I had just finished watching the anime for the second time, and I got an urge to find some fanfictions, but there weren't that many, to my horror. That is actually what started this entire story. As I said previously, I write because I want to read a story that isn't out there, and I share it because I know there must be someone else out there looking for the same things that I'm looking for.

I also just want to rant a little, especially now that my story is completed. This story was written by me, ThePurpleDragon, on Wattpad and I have posted it nowhere else. If this story is found anywhere other than here on Wattpad, please report it. >~< I try not to think about plagiarism, but the harsh reality is that it exists. I enjoy sharing my work, and I want to continue, but it's always a horrible feeling when you see someone else take your hard work and claim it as their own.

For anyone who might see this and even thinks about plagiarizing my own work or any other author's, I hope you know that many of us spend hours and hours developing our stories and even longer writing out each chapter.

If I had to estimate, I probably spent about 150-160 hours just on this story alone, not including the planning I did before hand, and pulled a few all nighters because I was too excited to write the next chapter to sleep. This story was written over the course of many months, though there was an unexpected mini hiatus due to college stress, but it doesn't change the fact that I, the author, spent hours and hours and days and days over this trying to get all the details right. It may be unedited, but I wrote each chapter to the best of my ability. This goes for any author that is out there, whether on Wattpad or any other site that allows us to share our work. Key point: Don't plagiarize!

For everyone else, I thank you so much for all your support for this story and for me as an author. All the comments left on the chapters really encouraged me to keep writing. I have a little trauma with posting stories after my eldest sister made some pretty nasty comments about my first story many years ago, and when I first started this story, I had an underlying fear that I would get harsh criticism. Thankfully, all you readers seemed to enjoy, and that made me extremely glad and relieved.

I also want to give a big thanks to everyone who commented and voted on my story! Extra thanks to all the fellow Wattpad-ers who have recently been commenting on most if not all of my chapters and keeping my spirits up!!! Literally, reading all your wonderful comments gave me energy for each day and I waited eagerly for your thoughts whenever I finished a new chapter. <3 I'm sure many other Wattpad authors would agree that it's very rewarding to see people liking your story by commenting their thoughts, . Sometimes it sparks conversation between the author or even other readers and it's one of the good things about sharing on Wattpad. <3 In addition, everyone who even read this story deserve a great big thanks!!

I suppose the poll was a bit biased since I posted it in a Souei fan fiction, but the readers have spoken! I'll start planning the Benimaru fanfiction. <3 No promises on when the first chapter will be released as of now since planning sometimes takes a while for me >~<

For now, I've taken down the poll, but the story ideas are still jotted down on my end and eventually I'll hopefully get to them all >~<

Let me know your initial impressions and final impressions of this story! I'd love to hear what everyone has thought overall for this story and Souei's "hidden" expressive side (that I made up halfway through the book, whoops <3). I really did enjoy writing this story and I'm so glad to share it with everyone.
