It was about 11 am when I woke up and stretched out. I put on some sweat pants and walk out of the room wondering what I heard coming from the kitchen. I remembered I brought that kid Louis home last night. What was he doing?
I entered the kitchen and saw Lou standing by the sink cleaning some dishes and on the table were two plates.
"Good morning!" He said with a chuckle as he turned to face me.
"Good morning, what is all this?" Gesturing to the table.
" Well you let me stay here last night and the least I could no was make you breakfast."
He walked to the table along with a pan full of scrambled eggs with peppers and other things in them. They looked delicious.
"technically the least you could do is nothing." I said sarcastically.
"oh ha ha." He said with a giggle. It was cute. No stop Harry. Don't think like that.
"Well I suppose we should eat before it gets cold. " I said heading to the table.
I realized I was still shirtless and kinda blushed to myself. Oops.
" I suppose so." He said sitting across from me. I sat and took a bite of the eggs. They were amazing and perfectly seasoned!
"These are incredible Lou!" I said with wide eyes. He laughed and thanked me.
We ate in a comfortable silence and I got up to sit our plates in the sink. When I turned around he was back on the couch like last night. I went and sat next to him.
"You ready to go home." I said facing him. His smile instantly faded. He seemed really upset, he really did not want to go home.
"I don't think that's a good idea." He said looking down. I got confused.
"What do you mean? Why don't you wanna go? I mean you just met me. Wouldn't you rather be at home with 'your' family?"
He seemed to get extremely sad, like his soul was crushed. And all I wanted to do was hold him.
"I-I don't have a home.." He stopped and brought his knees to his chest. I saw a single tear fall from his left eye.
"then where did you come from? How'd you pay for the gun? Where are you living?" I hated having to question but I needed to know if there was any way I could help him cause I wanted to.
"I just couch hop anywhere I can stay" he said weekly. "I don't have a family."
It was heart breaking. I didn't know how to react. This amazing, beautiful person has no family?
"I was an orphan. I got a job when I was 15 and got a job to pay for things like food and I would stay in motels. Or I would make friends and ask to crash there. I hated the orphanage. I left as soon as I possibly could. But nothing ever got better. I never made enough money, but when I got old enough to buy something like a gun I went out and got one and well. You know what happened after."
By now he had actually started crying but I could tell he was holding his own against the sadness.
"Wow." Was all I had to say for him to break. He started to sob and fell sideways into my arms and I held him. I held him so tight I was surprised he could breathe.
"I don't know what to do." He managed to stutter out between sobs. It tore me apart to hear him like this. I barely knew the boy and here I am holding him in his lowest moment. I held him up and dried some tears left falling as his sobs faded. He looked right into my eyes and I felt the fear deep down. I hugged him once more as his breathing slowed down and the cries stopped.
"Would you like to stay here?" I asked with all hopes he'd say yes. I wanted go help as much as possible.
"are- are you sure? Wouldn't I bug you? I can clean every day and do the dishes and-" he mumbled about doing stuff for me but I cut him off with a laugh.
"What?" He looked at me.
"You don't need to do anything for me. That's why I offered. I just wanna help." I explained still looking into his eyes. He smiled a small smile and put his arm on the side of the couch keeping his eyes locked.
"You are a fantastic man you know that?"
I blushed a bit not gonna lie. But I just giggled looked away and turned on the television. He laughed the same and turned toward the screen.
"Pick something to watch." I handed the remote to Louis. He chose a movie called Haunter. It seemed good so we watched it.
When the movie ended it was 2:40pm. Still the middle of the day. What to do?
"what should we do?" I asked turning back to Louis since he had his head on my shoulder.
"I don't know. What is there to do?" We could go to the mall but shoppings no fun without money."
"yeah. Heh."
" we can go to the amusement park." When I said that Louis' eyes sparkled with glee.
"Really?! Can we really go? I've never been there. I've never been on a rollar coaster oh that would be so fun and exci-" I cut him off with my hand on his mouth.
"You ramble a lot." We both laughed and got up off the couch.
"You can borrow clothes and take a shower."
I said and walked back to my room picking out some clothes for him.
When I walked back out he was standing by the bathroom leaning against the wall. He looked sexy as hell. Wait. No Harry stop. He just looked....Sexy. Damnit.
"Here ya go." I handed him the clothes and he smiled, nodded and walked into the bathroom. I really need to stop thinking like that. Just go get dressed Harry. Your mind will fix itself.
