📚Annabeth POV.📚

Sixteen days had passed since we had entered this seemingly prestigious academy. Classes were going smoothly and the only suspicious thing thus far was how Percy was managing to take notes despite being asleep for most of the class. I couldn't stop thinking about the ominous warning that Lord Poseidon had mentioned. Lurking in the shadows he had said. Every solution I came up with doesn't seem right. We set up a system to regularly update Chiron, well I set up, on our findings. So far no monsters were found from our end. But apparently some satyrs reported multiple hellhound and empousa sightings appearing in residential areas more frequently. That was concerning.

Well on a happier note, today we're going to visit Diana Prince. She was a daughter of Zues that acted as Olympus' informant in the mortal hero world. She had close relations with a hero group titled the 'Justice League', with members that consisted of intergalactic entities and strange cosplaying individuals. Spandex wouldn't be on my list for best crime fighting gear. Last time we saw her was when we visited the Amazons for Christmas before Percy went missing. Back then she had mentioned something about introducing us with some friends of hers. Yesterday she reached out to us, via Iris message, to extend a lunch invitation and meet her colleagues.

"Breakfast is ready!" Shouted Percy, breaking me away from my train of thought. I quickly brushed my hair into a high ponytail and made my way to the boy's apartment where Percy was taking off his apron. That apron did look good on him though. "So what did you make?" I asked him while taking a seat at the small wooden table. Piper and Jason were already there, utensils and dishes already set out before them. "Breakfast burritos!" Percy exclaimed ad he unveiled a plate of freshly made burritos, which were stacked in a pyramid like manner. "Two are for Diana by the way. I promised her some last time."

"So what is she like? Diana that is." Piper questioned in between bites of her burrito. I looked over to Percy to see if he'd reply, but as expected he was scarring down his food. Jason was similarly eating as if in a competition, just slightly slower than the son of Poseidon. I let out a small chuckle at the scene. "Well she's a lot like Thalia. Just a little more uptight. I guess you could say she's very action oriented." I saw Percy take a huge gulp of water from my peripheral vision before leaning back in his chair. "Once she used her lasso of truth to find out if I cheated in Uno. That was totally unfair."

I smirked at him. "You're just mad you got caught, you cheater." Jason laughed at my statement, making Percy pout. "You're supposed to back me up. You're dating me, not Diana." Rolling my eyes at him, I took a bite of my burrito. Dang this is so good. "Stop pouting. It'll ruin your cute face."

I started to get up to wash my dishes, stretching as I left my chair. "Ew, infront of my burrito?" Piper's face was contorted into one of disgust, somewhat in sync with Jason's own expression. "Get a room you two." I rolled my eyes, again. For some reason it felt like I was doing that often today. It's not even nine yet!

Crimson Cafe
11:30 am

We arrived at the building we agreed to meet at, some Cowboy-sequence Cafe. Crimson Cafe. Though I'm generally critical about the western themed decor in most places going for a similar vibe, this wasn't half bad. My guess it would have something to do with the dingy nature of the city, giving the building a more rustic look. Good thing, bad thing who knows. supposed to meet Diana. "What time did she say she'll be here by?" Jason asked, flipping his golden coin through the air.

"She should be walking through those doors any moment now." No one entered just yet but I was willing to wait a tad more. The others not so much, namely Piper and Percy. "Jason, have you ever tried getting someone to cast a tethering charm on your coin? I would guess people would try to steal it often, you know, because it's money."
