Y/N follows them up the stairs but he sees them having a discussion.

Barret: We'll split up and shoot for the last train home. Regroup at the freight car. Got it?

Wedge: Later then!

Jessie, Wedge, and Biggs run off.

Y/N: Hey. I'd like my money now.

Barret: You can have it once we're back at base.

Y/N and Barret run down the stairs but someone taps on his shoulder. Y/N turns around and looks at Jessie as she was holding a materia in her hand.

Jessie: I don't need to tell you what this is, right?

Y/N: Of course not. It's healing materia.

Jessie: You can have it. For saving my life.

Y/N: Just doing my job. Nothing more.

Jessie: Yeah, yeah... Fact is, I'm lucky you were there.

She hands Y/N the materia as Y/N got a little flustered of what she said.

Y/N: Survival can be a matter of luck or skill. And you can't rely on luck.

Jessie: Words to live by!

Y/N: Yeah, well... thanks.

Jessie: You do know how to use it, right?

Y/N: You do know what I was, right?

He puts the materia in the hole of his sword.

Jessie: Okay! I was only trying to help. Oh, before I forget, here's a little something extra, for being so brave. That really was a ride of a lifetime...

She hands Y/N two potions and a bottle of ether.

Jessie: Well, see you on the train!

Y/N watches her run off, Y/N walks past all of the people as they were scared to death to see what just happened. He stops to see firefighters trying to put out the fire, he walks towards the stairs but he heard someone calling him.

Jessie: Y/N! Up here! Look up! I said look up! Careful up here! This could collapse at any moment! If you want up, you'll have to use those stairs!

Y/N's (thoughts): That's what I was gonna do.

Y/N runs up the stairs to get past the rubble, he runs across but rubble collapses and Y/N lands on the ground safely. Y/N continues to go down the road, he takes a left and runs down the road to see the station.

Y/N: Station's intact.

The bridge suddenly collapses in front of him.

Y/N: What the...?

He hears tons of people screaming as he looks up to see a building on fire. His memory plays back of his house and entire town on fire burning to ashes, as Sephiroth was standing in front of him. Y/N snaps out of his memory and lets out a deep breathe. He turns around and sees Sephiroth standing in front of him and he quickly jumps back. Pieces of stone land on the firetruck and it explodes as he quickly covers himself. He looks back up to see Sephiroth walking away.

Y/N: How...!? He couldn't be... But then...

Y/N walks around the corner to see Sephiroth as he continues to walk.

Y/N: The hell...?

He sees Sephiroth take a right so Y/N follows him. He turns the corner and his head starts to hurt, as Sephiroth continues to walk away from him.

Y/N: Wait...

Y/N takes a left and he walks up the stairs as Sephiroth walks out from the right.
