Thirty Nine

I know that you are busy,
I know you have more important obligations.
Trust me,
I'm proud.
I know that you are there
And I am here.
I wish that I was there too.
I know that maybe one day we'll be together,
And we'll be stronger than anyone before us,
Because I knew what it was like to miss you,
And I don't ever want to feel that way again.
