"Babe, are you ready?" I called out, sitting in the all too familiar tan, leather, chair in the middle of a large living room. I glanced around at miscellaneous items that were scattered across the couch, other chairs, and the floor.

How does he live like this?

"I'm coming!" he called back, but I soon caught a frustrated hiss under his breath "Where the hell is it?"

"You okay?" I yelled wearily, and stood up from the chair, starting towards the voice.

"FINE!" he yelled back, appearing in front of me, just before I could take a step into his room. I raised an eyebrow at the blonde. He responded to my suspicious look by not-so-casually setting his arm on the door frame above my head."Nothing to see here."

"Uh-huh...."I mumbled, and turned on my heel. "Can we go?" I said without turning back to see if the blonde boy was following me. When he didn't reply, I could feel my patience running thinner and just as a whipped around flowers were in my face.

"Holy sh-" I was cut off by the grinning Irish man before me holding daisies in his right hand. "So, that's what you were hiding. Who'd you get those for?" I asked sarcastically and turned back around. I heard his jaw drop slightly.

"Definitely not my girlfriend." he muttered. I snapped my head over my shoulder.

"Excuse me?" I said with a slightly laugh. He rolled his eyes.

"You are so sassy today." he chuckled, and walked over to me. His long arms wrapped around my torso, and he lifted me high off the ground with ease. I scrunched up my nose at him, and kissed him gently on the lips just as he sat me down. "Happy Birthday." he whispered, i smiled in response. I soon noticed, he was still holding the flowers and I took them from his hands.

"They are beautiful." I said partially to myself.

"What can I say: When you have a beautiful girlfriend, you buy her beautiful flowers to match." he stated proudly, and grabbed his wallet and keys off his kitchen counter. I rolled my eyes.

"You're such a dork."

"Oh, but you love it." He didn't miss a beat at replying, and proceeded to pull me into his arms again and planting a kiss on my lips. After the short, sweet kiss I turned on my heel and began to walk towards the door, pulling my winter coat over my body.

"So, where are we going?" I asked without turning around. His heavy footsteps trotting after me.

"I was thinking that little cafe down on Lowery Street." He said absent minded, and picked up his coat. I  looked back to see his pulling on his jacket, a dark grey pea-coat.

"We haven't been there in ages!" I gawked, how could of we forgotten about that place?

"I know. That's why I thought it'd be a good place for your birthday dinner tonight." He chuckled in response, buttoning up his coat. "Make sure you're cosy 'n warm." He murmured taking the bottom bits of my jacket in his band and zipping it up for me. Following this, he pulled my hood completely over my head. I let out a loud laugh.

"I'm ready." I stated jokingly

"You look ready." He replied, following my lead. I pulled the hood down over my nose.

"Would you still date me if-"

"Absolutely yes." He said instantly "In fact, I'd prefer you wear all your jumpers like this."

.....

Our hands laced together, gently swinging back and forth. No words were spoken, and a comfortable silence hung in the air. It was just a few weeks until Christmas and snow was in all places to be found in London-as expected. Our destination was only a few minutes from Niall's apartment, but the walk seemed to last forever as a reminisced.
