YAY! A Jay oneshot! I don't see a lot of stuff for Jay, so I'm really happy to be writing this! I just love writing about Jay in general!

[Your POV]

"Cole, for the last time! I am NOT making a frozen yogurt machine!" Jay cried. Jay was going through something of an inventor's block and was coming to us asking for ideas.

"Why not!?" Cole asked.

"Because you broke the last one!" Jay said. "I'm not just gonna reward you with a brand new one!" Cole sighed and lied on his back, sinking into his beanbag.

"I like the idea of frozen yogurt!" Kai said.

"You'd melt everything, including the machine!" Jay said. Kai huffed and joined Cole in the art of beanbag sinking.

"What about a machine that produces a cold edible product with a variety of flavors?" Zane asked hopefully. Jay just raised an eyebrow and Zane laid down. He sighed and turned to me.

"And what about you?" Jay asked. "Do you want a frozen yogurt machine?"

"What about...a flying machine?" I asked hesitantly. Jay thought about it for a minute, tapping his chin with his pencil.

"I mean, I have the equipment..." Jay said. "Let's do it! I knew I could get a good answer from the love of my life!" He winked at me and I blushed. Jay and I had been dating for nearly a year now, and he never hesitated to tell anyone.

"Ughhhhhh!" Lloyd groaned. "We get it, you two are dating!"

"You'll never get it." Jay said contently, poking Lloyd's forehead. "Because you've never dated someone like (Y/N) before."

"Jay..." I said, embarrassed. Half of me wanted him to stop, but another half wanted him to keep going on and on. Having a lover definitely seemed to boost Jay's self esteem. He was still shy and nervous, but he wasn't afraid to speak up any other time he wasn't screaming.

"What?" He asked.

"I'm the confident flirty one!" Kai said, pulling Jay into a headlock.

"ACK!" Jay hacked. "STOP! Kai, you jerk!" But he was laughing, along with the rest of us. Kai ruffled his hair aggressively, ruining it. I giggled and watched my boyfriend and our friends. It really was wonderful to be with a guy like him...

"(Y/N), can you hand me that wrench?" Jay asked. We were on Destiny's Bounty deck, taking up the vast majority of it. The ninja weren't training that day, so they were in their room, playing video games. I handed him the wrench as Sensei appeared from the bridge, giving me a confused glance.

"(Y/N), Jay...what are you two doing?" Sensei asked, approaching us.

"Oh, hey, Sensei!" Jay greeted from underneath his invention. "(Y/N)'s helping me build a flying contraption!"

"Like...a plane?" Sensei asked.

"No, that's a bit too complex, Sensei." I said. "Do you remember the flying contraption that Jay was riding when you first met him?" He nodded. "It'll be something like that."

"Oh. How interesting. Well, I wish you luck." Sensei said kindly, going back into the bridge. I smiled and looked back down at Jay.

"How long do you think this'll take to build?" I asked. He pulled himself out from underneath the invention and looked up at me.
