"Jungkook. Nice to meet you."
You smiled, and the awkwardness started filling the atmosphere. He smiled back, where you noticed a tiny dimple popped up by the corner of his upward tugged lips. "Likewise, Suyin."
He walked up to you, taking a closer look at the still in progress breakfast dishes you made. "All these look pretty simple but the smell can turn anyone's head for it." He praised, and you couldn't help but happily smiling. He haven't had a taste yet he already liked your cookings.
"I believe it's the side dishes that you smelled, not the porridge. Because I haven't add any seasonings in it yet." You lowkey denied, stirring the almost cooked porridge to your humbleness.
He chuckled, and there's that tiny dimple again. You couldn't help yourself but to stare at it instead of his face, because you personally have a thing for someone who have dimples.
"Um... Miss Lee? The pot..."
You quickly turned off the stove as the foam in the cooking pot was on the verge of overflowing. You took a piece of cloth on the other side of the counter, keeping yourself busy as you wiped off around the stove. There's nothing to clean actually. You were just trying to hide away your flushing red face.
"Sorry. I, I..." you stuttered, not knowing what to respond. He came closer to where you were as he took the ladle in your hand, not in a rude way. But in the most gentle way as possible. He tasted the porridge, and added the seasonings himself. "Alright. Now the foods are ready."
You gawked in disbelief. You just met him, and he merely took over your job just like that. "Did you just..."
He shrugged, hands went back inside his pockets. "I just feel like it."
You thanked him, and setting up the dining table for Taehyung to have his breakfast. Speaking of Taehyung, he was there the whole time while you were having short conversation with Jungkook.
"Oh! Good morning, Taehyung. I made you your breakfast."
Upon mentioning his name, Jungkook hurriedly went to him, pushing the wheelchair without his permission, let alone his own seeking of assistance. Your eyes just followed the figure of him pushing the wheelchair as they making their way to the table.
"Thank you, Kookie."
He lowered his voice to avoid you from hearing him addressing his friend with his nickname. But you heard it very clear that you couldn't help but to sheepishly smiling.
Jungkook noticed you smiling and somehow smiled along. Taehyung was not aware with what was going on as he was enjoying his breakfast. You felt bad to see Jungkook just standing there like a useless person, so you took another bowl and spoon, adding the porridge that still remained in the pot and gave it to him.
"Here. Just have some."
He refused to accept at first, but because of your insistence he ended up having it. He took a seat next to Taehyung, who was being quiet the entire time. "Thank you, Suyin." He thanked you.
"Um... Mr, Kim...? I need your permission to clean up your room." You nervously asking for his permission. Cleaning was actually part of your job, but to trespass and crossing the line of people's privacy? You definitely don't want that.
You waited for him to respond, and Jungkook also seemed to be anticipated to wait for his response as well. Taehyung then realised all eyes on him, so he just nodded as his green light for you to clean his room.
You were ready to proceed with the task you've always wanted to do in the beginning. Cleaning his room. The curiosity really killed you inside as you're dying to take a closer look in his bedroom, and why would he spent most of his time in his room instead of hanging out around the free space of the cabin, let alone to the patio.
The door was closed, and it made you more nervous than you already were. You held firm a broom and a cleaning duster in your hand, placing your other hand on the doorknob. With fully respect, you slowly opened the door, carefully walking yourself in with small steps as if you don't even wanted to break the floor tiles.
You panned the whole room, searching for any signs of cleanings needed to be done, but to your surprise there was actually none. There's nothing to be cleaned up. Everything seemed perfectly organised and tidy. And you definitely wondered how come the room looked so clean. There's no way it was Taehyung because, yeah he was currently in a wheelchair and one of his arms was wrapped in a bandage, so that's impossible to happen.
"Could it be that Jungkook guy?" You muttered under your breath, unsure with your own assumption. "But why does he act more like, a helper to him rather a friend?"
You took so much time figuring out the one who's responsible for taking over your job that you had to put it aside and just proceeded, although there's nothing left to be cleaned for.
"Must be Jungkook." You concluded as you dusting off the nightstands. There were a lots of picture frame over the nightstand, and you had to repeatedly pick them up for better dusting. And of course, you held one of the pictures and it distracted you from the cleaning process the moment you laid your eyes on it.
It's a picture of Taehyung, and in the picture he was standing on his feet, hair was way shorter and that lovely smile of his which you never seen before, along with a peace sign of his hand. He looked so much happier in the picture than he was now, well obviously.
You put it down, and picked up the other one. In this picture he knelt on his one knee, arms folded with two pair of bunnies in his arms. His head was tilted as if he was trying to bury his face into the fluffy fur of the bunnies. The smile on his face was exactly the same as the first picture you saw.
Genuine, loving, and charming smile.
You began noticed the small detail of the two different pictures with the same background. In those pictures, there's a building behind him, and it was the barn, which renovated into a cabin where you're currently standing.
And there's the rest of the pictures as well. One picture of him and Jungkook, looking like a bestfriend they were. Another picture of him and another stranger guy, whom you assumed to be one of his bestfriend as well. And there's that one picture that gave you such odd in the feelings.
A picture of him, and a beautiful woman next to him. They looked so good together, like a perfect match to each other. He had his hand around her waist, and the hand of the woman on his chest. You couldn't help but to wonder, if she's somewhat his significant other. But that's not the case. The odd feeling that you felt, was actually the figure of him wearing a nice suit in grey, matching with that dark brown undercut hair of his. You can feel the masculine aura radiated through his good looks even though it's just in a picture. High quality of a picture that you can even noticed the visible mole on his nose.
He looked so much perfect of a man, and definitely the kind of dream guy among single ladies. The girl next to him must be his special lady since they were being so close to each other.
You took one more look of that picture, and your heart began to race seeing his face, rather not smiling in a charming way like the previous pictures but more like a smirk. Unlike the girl, he looked straight to the camera's direction, and you can feel as if he was staring at you.
Those beautiful eyes.
"You done?"
A sharp, deep voice echoed through the room like the sound of a loud thunder. You startled, almost dropped the picture in your hand but luckily your reflexes worked pretty well that it didn't slipped and fell from your hand.
"I-I... uh, yeah I'm almost..." you stuttered, hands trembling while organising the picture frames back to their original place. Your face was completely flushed in red, not knowing where to hide or even cover the obvious redness in your face.
You stood wherever you were with your head down, avoiding eye contact with him. You can't leave the room because he was right at the door, completely blocking your way to escape.
He pressed the button on his wheelchair, forward pushing himself further into the room to where you were. He stopped, abruptly.
"Get... the hell out."
