The plague hit them when they weren't ready now they declared Martial Law its just now every person to themselves, if you left your home or city then you wouldn't be able enter your city again as you possibly have the virus.(Creatures are the Plague/Virus)

??? Pov:

Just crowds packed the streets yet as it was turning night time there was still no movement. Yet as we were about to pull out I saw movement to my left seeing it, it just stared at me like it was facing Death himself though many try to avoid me it is inevitable as they will get whats coming to them.

The creature alerted others as they all manage to run off leaving the street empty. My companions alerted My guards to move ahead and continue the escort. As we drove down the streets my guards alerted me to abandoned city that was coming up but there shouldn't be as a few years ago it was occupied. 

Pulling up to the city they stopped the car and got all geared up. We wondered through the gates seeing numerous bodies torn in half, mauled or burned yet most of the bodies were of the creatures not of humans, I walked further ahead sensing beings up head. My squad surrounded the building whilst I knocked the door down noticing all eyes were on me watching my every move.

Kaleb PoV:

I watched him everything about him screams Death yet something about draws me closer. The soldiers in here  pointed there weapons warning them to leave so the creatures don't come back but he ignored them. I stood up with my weapon walked towards him and just shot him, he stood there unfazed as more of his soldiers entered all armored up and weapons drawn on me as more of our soldiers swarmed the enemy. Creatures were detected in our area yet nobody moved until...

??? PoV:

My men lit up the outside as creatures swarm in. I looked at him as I prepared to leave noticing he was angry, he shot a few more times before a soldier ran up and took his weapon. You could see steam coming out of his ears and seeing how red he was you could of mistook him for a tomato. I left the building seeing thousands of creatures lying dead surrounding the bunker, I laughed to myself knowing they wouldn't have survived if we weren't here. We packed up beginning to leave knowing they wont survive another attack until Kaleb begged me take him with us. I noticed his physique, he could possibly survive the transformation of it.

Unless he is a creature already...

We carried on down the road seeing a convoy coming towards us, Kaleb looked visibly frightened as we passed them he sank below to try and hide. I watched my men drive by abandoned buildings, noticing all windows were broke or removed.
