The guest sat down at the dinning room table. They all seemed on edge. Thomas sat down at the end of the table. "We have important matters to discuss, but for now, let's enjoy dinner."
"I saw a wonderful revolver in the study," Remus chatted, "I am a vetren, ya know?"
Thomas smiled, "Yes, that's my father's gun. He had a lot of people who hated him. It was for protection."
Roman muttered, "If I was you, I would use that gun."
Patton hit his hands. "Don't be rude to the host!"
Logan attempted to change the subject, "I love the candle stick. Where did you get it?"
Before Thomas could answer Damion spoke, "It would look better with a splash of red. What do you think?"
Everyone was silent for a moment until the cook came out. He placed the food down and Thomas dismissed him to go home.
Patton looked at the knife and touched the blade. "This is a sharp one. Definitely shouldn't run with it!" Patton joked in a sinister way.
Thomas laughed. Everyone was staring at him with their brows furrowed. Thomas looked at the guest and met his eyes with Virgil. "How are you Virgil?"
"I'm great! Absolutely great," he answered.
Logan's eyes caught a weird assortment of items. Logan asked, "Why is there a lead pipe and wrench?
"Oh, yes. I tanker with cars for a living. Probably should move them," Thomas got up but Virgil shook his head.
Virgil was having a mini panic attack and was trying to leave, "I'll take them to the study." Before anyone could move the lights went out. Thomas lit the candle.
"Well, that concludes the dinner. Let's head to the study," Thomas suggested. Roman got up and took the candle stick. He led the group to the study. "Now," Thomas announced.
"Let's get down to business," Thomas grinned.
