Hunt

I'm sitting in my bed reading, Lila left about an hour ago. There's another nock at the door except its my bedroom door, as straight as the nock came the door opened and my mum waked in with a plate full of cookies, she stands and the sits on the end if my bed and says the words I've dreaded,
" Why didn't you tell me about Lila?"
"I thought I did" I lied, confusion crossed her face
"Josie" she emphasised my name and tilted her head, she always does this when she knows I'm lying
"I don't know I didn't think it was that big of deal"
"Darling, it's a big deal. Your best friend slept with the boy you loved. Have you even talked to Jack?" I saw worry in her eyes, I couldn't help but lye, I didn't want to talk about it ever especially with my mum.
"No" I replied trying to look normal
"Okay. You tell me when you do okay?" The worry I'm her eyes depend and I felt like I had just been shot In the chest I hated lying to her.
"Fine, now can I get back to reading?" I was desperately trying to avoided anymore discussion of this.
"Okay, dinner will be ready soon"

Ever since dad died last year on Christmas Day, mum has been very protected of me. Especially when I used to go out hunting with Lila, but that's all changed now. Mum had always been a bit protective before dad died but now she won't even let me out if the house without my phone, purse and my car keys. It's going over the top especially last week before Lila and Jack slept together, we were hunting and my phone rang and then rang again I couldn't believe she did that especially since I told her where I was going and what time ill be home, when I told that we were in the middle of sneaking up behind a dear when she rang all she said was "I was just checking up on you" I was so angry, but then again that night Lila and Jack slept together, so I was pretty angry at that too. So that was pretty much the worst day of my life.
