As they touched,
A light flushed
Them away
In a universe without day
That was their second
They took a look and
Waited for the voice to rise
Much for their surprise
Nothing spoke,
Nothing awoke.
They glanced at each other
And wondered
Now what?
A door shut,
Loneliness felt in the gut
Was this their second?
Confused looks being thrown
To avoid the feeling of being alone
Steps taken into the unknown
For their second
Was to survive and
Create.
