'Tuesday, March 2nd. The air is crisp and the skies were clear. The grass is green and the trees are blooming the most beautiful flowers. Spring is one of the best seasons, according to half of the schools' population. I don't particularly agree. I enjoy the crisp autumn air through the months of august to November. Although, I don't hate the spring, it just gives me an  odd feeling most of the time. Like something is just waiting to happen amidst the warm, cheerful air. 

Right now, it's study hall. I really should be doing schoolwork but who does that nowadays? I'm a burnt out senior who just wants to go home even though school only started 3 hours ago. Honestly, I'm just tired. I think I'm going to clock out from this notebook now. Bye. Thanks for keeping me awake.

She lightly exhaled, closing the black notebook before putting it in her bookbag and pulling out an actual book to read. Kim Ayano is an average highschool senior. She is not extremely social, her grades are average A-C's, plays one sport and has a close friend group. She is just a normal teen waiting to graduate highschool and get a move on with life.

After another 20 minutes, the bell rang signifying 4th period had ended and lunch began. The classroom bustled loudly and made their way out of the doorway. Ayano had none of her friends that class, allowing her to be silent up until she met up with her friends at their designated lunch table.

Her friend group consisted of 4 other people besides herself. The first to arrive at the table after Ayano was Lee Jeno. He was one of the guys that alot of people knew due to his extremely kind personality. He smiled gently, greeting Ayano. Before he could get the chance to speak, the loud one of the group arrived.

"HEY GUYS, GUESS WHAT?! I ACED MY HISTORY EXAM!!! I KNEW I'D PASS! CHENLE OWES ME FOOD NOW HAHAHA!" That was the designated mood maker, Tamaki Kina. She was the one who knew how to brighten the mood in the group. She was well known for winning the smash bros tournament every year since freshman year.

 (if you dont know the grades (according to this story) there are 4 years. 9th-12th grade. Freshman=9th sophomore=10th junior=11th senior=12th)

"Hi, guys! Hey, Jeno, could you help me out with the stats homework? I want to get it done before tomorrow." That's Park Jisung, the baby of the group. He is basically spoiled by the group. He has a huge crush on Kina, however she is completely oblivious even though the shares the same feelings. It's quite an entertaining sight when they are mindlessly flirting without really noticing and realizing that they're flirting. 

"What's up, peeps? Sorry, i got caught up crossing some freshmans in the halls." That is Zhong Chenle. The groups basketball player and the schools most adored player. He and Jisung get along the most while Jeno and ayano get along the best. Kina gets along with everyone and is the all rounded member of the group, never to be left out.

"Chenle, you owe me a snack from the ASB! I aced the history exam! Now come here money man let's go get some chips." Just after Chenle arrived, he was dragged away by an energetic kina to the schools small snack shop.

"Hey, Ayano? You good? You seem kind of out of it. By now, you'd be ranting to us about how hot that girl from... Hunterxhunter was it? is. Whats up?" Jeno looked up from his homework, causing Jisung to follow suit to look at the girl sitting across from them. She smiled and shook her head, her brown hair moving slightly with the movement.

"Nothing's wrong, y'all. I'm just a bit tired. That shitty English class ran my energy down. All i want to do is go home and watch anime or something." The girl complained putting her face into her hands and groaning. Jisung laughed, earning a glare from the tan girl.

"Sorry, sorry. Why don't you just nap now? We have 45 minutes." Ayano sighed and looked around her, gesturing to the large amount of loud students.

"Do you think i can get any sleep when all of these loud ass kids are running around? I'm good, thanks though. Finish your homework. You too, Jeno." They nodded an returned to their statistics homework and the 2 loudest of the group returned to the table.

Kina sat down humming happily while munching on her bag of cheese itz. Chenle sat on Ayanos left side while Kina sat on her right. Chenle whined, plopping his head onto Ayanos shoulder.

"UGHHHHH I don't want to go to practice today! I'm tired i wanna go home." He pouted and shook ayano lightly side to side.

"Can I come over, Ayano? I love my parents but, right now, they're lowkey overbearing and its suffocating. I need some air. And could i stay the night, if its possible?" His voice was soft and Ayano sighed, patting Chenles soft brown hair.

"Sure thing. I don't mind your company. I understand what you mean, don't worry. What kind of senior would turn down their dearest junior shelter? We can buy ice cream on the way and play videogames to clear your head if you want." Chenle nodded, his forehead remaining on his seniors shoulder.

"Thank you so much, Ayano. Seriously. I don't know what I would do without you. I don't want you to leave" He finally looked at her, his eyes slightly teary. This made Ayano immediately pay full attention to her younger friend. She carefully cupped his face and made him look at her in the face.

"I don't want any of you to leave. It'll just be me, kina and jisung. It won't be the same. It's hard enough when you leave for a day or 2 but i can't imagine a whole year or maybe longer." Tears started to fall and his speech became quiet and broken. Ayano tried to wipe most of the tears away with her thumbs.

"Hey, look at me. Even after i graduate, I'll still be in the city. Meaning i wont be moving away so you can come over any time. I bet Jeno agrees with me and would join me in visiting you guys as often as we can. Don't worry, i cant imagine leaving you even if i could. You're like my child, it's too hard for me to think about it anyway. Don't worry." She hugged him an dhe nodded, calming down.

"Now, I'm crying. You guys better visit all the time." Jisung said, laughing lightly and rubbing his eyes.

"Don't worry, we will! I promise you that. Like Ayano said, you guys are basically our kids, its hard enought thinking about leaving much less actually doing it. So don't worry." Jeno smiled and the 3 babies nodded.

"Okay, after school, let's all go eat together. Let's go to that place with video games and dining so we can have some fun too, okay? Let's make the most out of our time together!" The others agreed to Kinas suggestion and started talking about random topics when a piercing screech hushed the entirety of the students in the outside lunch area.

Everyone looked to the source, spotting a boy on top of a girl in the middle of the grassy area. She was yelling for him to get off, constantly screaming and trying to kick him off of her. Immediately, 4 guys and 3 teachers rushed to the scene to help her. When they pulled the boy off, the boy jumped and latched onto one of the male teachers. 

"Is... is she bleeding? There's so much... what is his deal?" Chenle spoke quietly. When ayano looked at the girl on the floor, she gasped. Half of her throat was gone. One of the guys lifted the girl and started carrying her towards the direction of the office.

"Guys... the teacher...." Kina pointed out both the boy and the student now attacking the closest teachers and students. 

"Holy shit... i know what this is. We have to go now. C'mon. We can take my car let's go now." Ayano quickly spoke, rushing everyone to grab their things and leave campus. Against the office ladies wishes, they ran out of the doors and looked through the gates to see almost everyone finally realizing whats happening as more and more people got attacked and infected.

They reached Ayanos black SUV and quickly sped out of there just in time to see huge crowds of people screaming and running from campus, along with multiple people getting jumped and killed.

"WHAT'S GOING ON?!" Kina was in tears as she looked back at the scrambling students.

"I've played so many videogames, read too many articles and watched too many movies to not know what was happening." Ayano began.

"I believe we just witnessed the start of a zombie outbreak."
