"Okay, are you going to tell us why you gathered all of us here? I was kinda planning on showering." Jaemin lightly complained, his not yet used towel thrown over his shoulder.

"Yes! Now, you all probably know that these things closely remind us of zombies in a way with how they infect people by physical injury?" They all nodded and she smiled, slamming a huge book onto the desk. The boys surrounding the table looked at it in shock and one of the men that came in the previous day spoke

"Okay, don't mean to be pessimistic or anything or come off as rude but how the hell is a big ass book going to help us? I mean, it might make a good weapon but i'm not trying to read the whole harry potter series to fight these things."

"Maybe, if you shut up and wait for a second, you'd learn a thing or two. And what did Harry Potter do to you? Geez. Anyway, no this is not a weapon. The information inside can help! Look here," She opened it halfway, the first half of the book thudding onto the table as she quickly flipped to the desired pages.

"Okay, page 436 through 438 are about these creatures. This book is in English so I'm sorry if you can't read it, don't worry I'll translate anyway,"

"Creatures of the dark,

These creatures dwell in the darkness, immobile in the sunlight. The appearance of these beings occurred before common era, or before 'christ' as some understand it. The first described sighting was in an ancient Egyptian civilization. They had no less than 4 descriptive hieroglyphs explaining these creatures, though not enough to depict how they came about.

The stories usually went in this order:

A plague infected one or more people within a place. The symptoms reflecting that of a common cold or allergies, not causing immediate panic.

The next stage being death of a seizure or the heart just stopping.

With that, the victim would revive and attack others around them. Upon physical contact, the attacked person would also become a monster if physically harmed.

This 'disease' spread for miles until it was contained by moving these beings during the day. They were slowly killed off and their remains laid in a large cavern deep below, the whereabouts not disclosed.

The name 'creatures of the dark' came from a poem written by, what seemed to be an older child whose mother became one of these creatures. The original parchment had dark fingerprints on the paper, possibly blood. This came closer to the common era and was translated to the following:

'I remember when the skies were blue

Then my mommy got the flu

Her eyes were once the color brown

Soon her once brown eyes were nowhere to be found.

My mommy used to sing to me

But all i hear now is her scream

In the day, she was still

In the night, she would kill.

One bright day, i took my mommy to the park

By nightfall, I knew she would become a creature of the dark.'

Theorists claim that these creatures are merely folktale to scare children of their time to do their work but some researchers claim that this very thing could happen once again. Though, never specified when, researchers predict this could happen within the next 20 years.

From these stories came modern stories of the undead. With only ancient drawings and new renderings of these creatures, we can't exactly tell what these things might look like but for now, let's not try to find the corpses of those old creatures. I'd rather not go through an apocalypse."
