Siguro ganento nalang. I found her story by referral again. Noong una, ayaw kong basahin kasi ang haba at parang PHR style ang pagkakasulat. That was the time na i'm into Non-Teen Fiction genre and it was a perfect read for me. I thought, tulad ng iba, karaniwang 'Non-Teen Fiction' lang rin yung Wifely Duties pero mali ako eh. Stereotyping lang.
So here's my review. Ang stories niya ang isa sa dapat ipagmalaki sa Philippine Literature. It's a mixture of reality, of life's dramas, of love and of how we make our faith stronger. Yung stories nya yung tipo ng fiction na malapit sa katotohanan ng buhay . Yung stories niya rin yung malapit sa kagandahan ng buhay na hindi na makita ng mga tao sa panahon ngayon.
For example, Wifely Duties. Si Agatha na ubod ng bait. For some, hindi maniniwalang may ganung kabait na tao na pwedeng mabuhay sa mundo. Yung nagawan ka na ng mali, mabuti parin yung isusukli niya sayo. Sobra-sobra pa. But you're wrong. Agatha's the example of the beauty in one's humanity. With which people nowadays find hypocrisy. People were born with good nature in them. At isang desisyon kung pagtitibayin at palalawakin nila ang good nature sa puso, sa isip at sa gawa nila. So yeah, hypocrisy is never an issue. Its the decision of the person.
Isa pa, her stories is a mirror of people's dilemma in life. Tulad ng sa Making Love. Hindi ko talaga ma-gets kung bakit nireport yun eh. May mga readers talaga na surface reading lang ang ginagawa. Making Love is a story of how to move forward. Of how to accept the unacceptable. Of how to welcome unexpected people in your life. Of how to love while coping up to your insecurities. Sa DyLana palang ang dami ko nang natutunan eh. Yung pareho silang nag-aadjust, yung may magbibigay na isa at yung realizations nila. Masarap sumakay sa roller coaster nilang storya. Their love for each other is their strength. Their family and friends love is their assurance. And their love and faith for God is their guidance. I so love their story.
Last na example is Love At Its Best and Love At Its Toughest. These stories opened my mind and my heart that love isn't just loving your parents or loving your friends or loving romantically. Ang daming kahulugan ng pag-ibig but the best to describe love can be found in the bible; 1 Corinthians 13:4-7. At sa stories na nabanggit, binigyan kahulugan ang pinakamagandang depinisyon ng pag-ibig. Sa story nga na yun akala natin si Terrence ang nahirapan at nagtaguyod ng relasyon eh. But no, Eunice did her part. And we all know na ang hirap i-apply ng natutunan natin sa buhay. In the stories, we see how Eunice grow and mature. Kung pano niya naging sandigan ang pag-ibig para maging isang mabuting nilalang sa panahon ng mga pagsubok na dumating sa kanya at sa relasyon nilang mag-asawa. I'll forever treasure their story. The story of how they apply love in their lives.
Overall, refreshing ang pagbabasa ng stories ni FrustratedGirlWriter. Though mahilig siya sa tragic climax, bawing-bawi naman sa ending. Ang dami-dami mong matutunan sa stories niya at sa kanya. Isa pa, hindi nawawala si God sa stories niya. Kaya mamahalin mo talaga siya. I love you Denise. I'll be your forever number 1 fan. Love all the hates, marami kaming tutulong mag-angat sayo. Binigay sila ni Lord para mas palakasin ka at mas maging strong yung faith mo sa Kaniya. Remember, in every tears shed comes great achievements. :*
