Where It Started

"Come on Izuku, bet you can't catch me"!

"Awe, Kacchan! You know your faster than me"!

"Try to keep up then, before I leave you in the dirt"!

"That's mean Kacchan"!

Big luscious trees wiping past the two boys as they run for dear life, only a path of dirt leading them to their secret location.
Inhale, exhale, inhale, exhale, the only sound being heard throughout the silent forest besides the lingering tweets of nearby birds.

Finally, they burst from the cramped forest path. Bakugou, being the first one out, trips on a nearby rock, falling face first into the cold, hard dirt. Soon after, before he realizes Bakugou's situation, Midoryia yelps in surprise as he falls on top of Bakugou.

Both boys scramble off of each other in surprise. Releasing sweet laughter into the air as they realizes how ridiculous they acted.

"Haha, are you ok Kacchan"?

"Hehe, never been better! How about you"?

"Oh I'm fine, I was just surprised".

They soon calm down and let their environment seep in. A huge field of tall, vibrant, green grass with only pockets of a variety of different colored flowers and a small river splitting the field in half. The sun shines down on the two boys as they continue their walk down the path.
"Good thing we brought our hats Kacchan or we would get sun burned"! Midoryia suddenly pointed out.
"Yeah yeah, I'm stronger than that though! This sun can't hurt me, I'm better than it"! Bakugou says confidently.
"Kacchan come on, last time you didn't bring your hat I had to drag you back home because you kept crying about how your sun burn hurt"! Giggled Midoryia.
"Oh you, be quiet! You better not tell anybody Izuku or I swear I will tell Auntie Inko about how you climbed the shelf to get the cookie jar and accidently broke-"

"Ok ok Kacchan! I promise I won't tell anyone"!

"Good boy". Bakugou says, patting Midoryia's head in the process.

If Bakugou was to be honest, he loved Midoryia's green messy hair, his adorable freckles, and big puppy like emerald eyes but he would never admit that out loud, at least not to Midoryia himself. Just thinking about him in that light has got Bakugou blushing.

"Kacchan look"! Midoryia says, running up ahead, stopping at a patch of flowers. Bakugou is snapped out of his thoughts and walks faster to catch up with Midoryia.
"What did you find Izu-" Bakugou was cut mid sentence as he realizes what Midoryia was looking at.
"ITS A BUTTERFLY"!! Both boys scream out in pure excitement. Unfortunately this seems to scare the butterfly and it starts to fly away.
"Kacchan why did you do that, you scared it"! Midoryia says while pouting. "Hey, you screamed at it too"! Bakugou responds back with a smirk, bumping his shoulder with Midoryia's. "Hehe, I know. I just like seeing you get mad". Midoryia giggles out, poking Bakugou's cheek. But little does he know, Bakugou is blushing ferociously, looking like a dang tomato.

Suddenly, a bunch of birds arise out of the forest in a hurry, seeming as though something scared them. This catches the boys attention.
Midoryia, being the little kid he is, hugs Bakugou's arm close to him for comfort, a little habit that he grown from being around Bakugou for so long.
"Don't worry, I've got you, I won't let anyone hurt you". Bakugou says soothingly to Midoryia while petting his head. Midoryia in turn, responds, "Thank you Kacchan".
Bakugou turns his head back to the forest and calls outs, "Who's there?! Show yourself"!

After a few short minutes a boy of half white and red hair emerges. The two boys stare at him with shock, his appearance. He had scars littering his body, a bandage covering his left eye and dirt and leaves covering his hair and face.
"H-hi there. I'm s-sorry for scaring you, I never meant to. I was only p-passing through. My name is Shoto Todoroki, what's yours"? Todoroki says timidly. Midoryia let's go of Bakugou's arm and rushes over to the boy.
"Are you ok?! Oh my goodness, we should call for help!" Midoryia says, worried for the boys well-being. "N-no! Please I'm fine really! I'll be ok, I already went to the doctors for this"! Says Todoroki, pointing at his bandaged eye. "O-Oh, ok then..." Responds Midoryia, not convinced that the smaller boy is ok because of all his scars. "Midoryia, you can't just run anywhere you want! We dont even know him, he could have hurt you!" Says Bakugou, running over to Midoryia and Todoroki. "But Kacchan he's hurt! And he looks our age, what harm could he do". Responds Midoryia. "M-Midoryia...." Says Todoroki shyly. "Yeah that's me, I'm Midoryia Izuku! And this here is my best friend Kacchan! Er- I mean, his name is Bakugou Katsuki, Kacchan is my nickname for him, Hehe"! Midoryia says enthusiastically, glad to be able to introduce themselves to a new kid and potentially, a new friend.

"Tch, yeah whatever. Anyways, what happened to your face, and what's up with the scars, did someone hurt you"? Says Bakugou, honestly curious as to what the boys answers will be. Todoroki just stares at Bakugou with blank eyes, shaking his head, "I-I don't want to say..". Midoryia steps in, reading Todorki's action as discomfort, "Kacchan, you can't just ask people about their appearance! That's rude! Plus you clearly made him uncomfortable, apologize"! Midoryia demands, slightly smacking Bakugou's arm. "Hey that hurt, plus he doesn't look uncomfortable to me"! Bakugou yells out.
"N-no, it's ok, I don't mind him asking. I just don't want to talk about it" responds Todoroki, instinctively looking down, holding his scared arm.
"Oh I see, then....do you want to play with us? We came here to walk around and just recently we saw a butterfly! Come on, I'll show you where"! Midoryia grabs Todoroki's hand, and leads him to the last known sighting of the butterfly.

And just like that Bakugou is left out of the fun. He stares at the two, laughing and giggling about butterflies, flowers, bees, birds and stuff that Bakugou didn't really care to hear about if Midoryia wasn't talking to him. Midoryia's laugh was only for him to hear, his cute giggles, his smiling cute face. They. Were. His. And no one else's. Who does this Todoroki kid think he is, stealing Midoryia's sunshine. What if he steals it all? Then there won't be anymore for him! Grr, this half-n-half bastard! No, no Bakugou. Midoryia said to be nice to others remember? Be nice. Grr, only for Midoryia be nice to him, only for Midoryia. Plus, who does Midoryia think he is holding his hand, THOSE HANDS ARE MINE, GRRRR I HAVE TO BE NICE!!

After a few minutes of war with jealously, Bakugou heads over to the two giggling boys. Todoroki notices him and immediately stops laughing. Jeez, what's his deal? Bakugou says in his head. Midoryia looks at Bakugou with a wide smile," Hey, I was just talking about you to Todoroki here"!
"Oh yeah, what'd you say"? Bakugou questions. "I was telling him how amazing, strong, and confident you are!"
Bakugou glances toward Todoroki only to meet cold dead eyes piercing into his own ruby red ones. Ok, seriously. What is up with this kid? Bakugou turns his head to look at Midoryia only to meet sparkling emerald eyes. He starts to feel his knees get weak, break hitching in his throat. God he's so cute. "W-Well heck yeah I am! I-I'm definitely all those things times 3!"
"Would it hurt you to be the least bit humble?" Interrupts Todoroki.
Both boys stare at him in shock. Todoroki looks at them, confused at first but then realizes what he had just said. "I-I mean, I didn't mean to say that! I'm sorry! Please don't leave me, I-I'm not used to talking to kids my age! Please don't leave me alone, I'm so sorry"! Todoroki sobs out, big tear drops dripping down is plump cheeks.
Both Midoryia and Bakugou exchange glances, worried for the boy before them. When was the last time he interacted with kids our age? Midoryia scoots closer to Todoroki, embracing him in a warm hug. "Don't worry, its ok. Its going to be ok, me and Kacchan won't leave you, not ever." Midoryia soothingly whispers. "Promise me. Promise me you won't leave me, Midoryia." Todoroki responds, desperation in his voice as he clings to Midoryia's shirt, staring into his emerald eyes.
"I promise you, I won't ever leave you." Little did Midoryia know, that was the day he bargained for more than Todoroki lead on.

He never asked me. He didn't ask me to promise him. Just what are his plans with my Izuku?
