Hello, New Writers of Wattpad!
Welcome to the guide book for The New Writer Awards. Whether you are 13 or 87 all are welcome and we look forward to watching you grow as writers, engage as a community, develop friendships and just flourish as human beings.
We hope you are as excited about this new opportunity for Wattpad writers as we are and we are all about growing writers and helping you to become better at your craft. This guide book will give you tips for editing your work, exercises to improve your style of writing, prompts to help you get creative, giving you tips and resources to research and plan your stories and a whole bunch of tools to make you the best writer you can be. We will also give you some stories behind The New Writer Awards, you'll get to meet our founder, learn about our procedures and hear some funny stories of what it's like to run these awards.
We hope that you learn, laugh and write with us and continue to experience all the ups and downs of the writing world (because there's a lot of them). We encourage you to never stop writing, whether you make money from it or it is just something that keeps you happy.
