Annoying Siblings and Were-craft
~Cora Gamma's POV ~

"Do you hate me?"

"No. I don't."

"Oh."

Quiet. Everything is quiet. Perhaps I spoke too soon.

"Do you hate me?" She asks again.

I reply with what I did. "No, I don't."

"Oh.."

A wonderful, beautiful silence. For thirty seconds, I counted.

"Do you hate me now?" She says for the I don't know time in the last ten minutes.

"No, I don't hate you," I sneer. It was about time too.

"That sounds like Coraline hates me."

"Do not make me smack you Ash," I look at the six year old in front of me.

"Thash mean," she responds eating a strawberry.

"Try me."

Silence. A few moments the Leus' could swear upon were gold. A little more than a minute. Two minutes.

I count the seconds passing in my head. If she makes it to three minutes that would be a new record for Ash to be silent while I complete homework in the kitchen. Almost.. two minutes and fourty seven seco-

"Do you hate me now?" She whispers, near my ear. And I scream as my hand drags down the rest of the page with my pen, creating a long blue line and scratching it up.

She grins evilly running off. "I have winned!"

I seethe, I breathe. Trying my best to not grab a knife to cut her tongue off, I pick up my now damaged sheets and sigh. What a demon.

Roaring voices come from upstairs, a few clashes, the thud of something falling and the devil's screams.

"Was Ashlynn annoying her sister again?"

"Nope!"

"Why don't we ask Cora?" He asks.

"Nope!" She chimes.

Grandpa Ed comes in the kitchen with Ashlynn in his arms. He looks at me, smiling apologetically.

"Has Ashlynn been annoying her elder sister by not letting her finish her homework?" He questions her, raising an eyebrow.

"No," she yells. Only this time she hits notes from falsetto to a solid G-6.

"The word 'annoying' would be an understatement," I raise my voice for it to be heard over the talent of my young sister.

"Ashlynn Rose Gamma!"

Silence. She shut up. Everything is still. The deep and authoritative voice of uncle Alex makes Ashlynn Kerrington quiet down. Mind you, no one is capable of doing that.
