Chapter 8: Suspicions

                                                  CHAPTER 9: SUSPICIONS

Jade's pov

"Peter?" I whispered as I poked my head inside the room. I knew that he wouldn't reply, but it was worth the try to see everyday if he would 'wake up.' I stepped inside my shoes occasionally making squeaking noises as I walked around Peter's wheel chair to face him. I leaned against the window seal and I opened the closed blinds and saw that it was getting cloudy and the wind was picking up. 

I turned back around and saw Peter looking down at the ground. I knelled down in front of him and grabbed his hand in mine. "Last night I- um I had a dream about the fire. The Hale house fire. I could feel everything that everyone else felt the fear, pain, everything. And I could see everything and everyone screaming and crying. Then I saw you, you had ran away down a dark hall. I wa-I was going to follow you, but then I saw Talia and she was trapped under." I gulped as I cried to hold back the tears.

"Talia was. She was trapped under a book case which had fallen on her. I ran over to her and I tried to help her, but I couldn't do anything and then I started to feel a burning sensation on my shoulder and I was starting to be burned and then I woke up.

But what I'm trying to say is that. I'm so sorry that had happened to you. That you had to go through that and that you lost your family. I don't know of how you could live with that and I have no idea of how you could've survived the fire. I don't know of how you are here today."

I squeezed Peter's hand for something maybe a gentle squeeze back, but nothing. 

"And something else. Well a couple of things. I don't know why I came back to Beacon Hills it was like I wasn't even thinking. As if I had no idea what I was doing and then the next thing I know I was on my way here on an airplane. And then with Scott, my brother, yeah I know you only heard of him once. But yeah Scott and your nephew Derek have been acting weird, like they are hiding something from me. And I can't figure it out and then also with Scott he has no more asthma and last time I checked you couldn't get rid of asthma. 

Then the final thing. When I got back I have always felt like something was watching me and then the other day when I had been driving home I saw- I thought I saw something....red eyes? And it was huge and black, and I have no idea what is going on and I'm confused. But I'm going to try and figure out what is going, like what is everyone hiding from me and what I saw."

I glanced at my phone and noticed it was 3:21. I bit my lip trying to think back to what all I had just told Peter. 

"Well I'm going to go now, bye Peter." With that I kissed his cheek and left the room closing the door slowly not sure if I should stay or go, but I did leave and took a few steps back to hear a clanking noise and a thump and I almost tripped myself, but I balanced myself. I spun around on my heel to look at what I had done.

I saw one of the nurses and a tray on the ground. The nurse had red hair in a pony tail wearing a white coat. She sat up and brushed off her coat and rubbed her head. "I'm so sorry! I didn't see where I was going, but I'm so so sorry!" 

She nodded her head "It's fine it happens." Her eyes then met the door I was standing in front of she pointed to the door. 

"Did you just come from there? Did you just come out of that room?" She asked while narrowing her eyes at me.

"Umm, yes. I signed in at front. Why are you asking?" 

"Why did you visit him, he never has visitors."
