The Devil's Bride

Chapter 6

During that morning Chris and Ariel had found themselves leaving right after breakfast as they needed to report their findings. It wasn't like them to be so worried. Hence the gathering happening in haste and speed. As everyone had arrived in less that 30 minutes, all eager to learn of the soon to be spread knowledge. Once everyone was seated, and with a single look from the king they began.

" Last night after leaving the meeting we found ourselves almost crashing in fright as two golden eyes stared at us on the otherwise empty road. And when they were gone it revealed a piece of paper with a single word on it. Sacrifice." Chris said as he looked at Ariel, with a look checking her if he had missed any details. With a mid they sat down. Taking out the piece of paper, handing it to the king who examined it carefully.

"Was this all?" He said flipping it over carefully, only to snap his attention up when he heard a scream. All looked with fright and horror as Duke Weasleton, suddenly began floating with a dark glow emitting around him. And he opened his mouth for only an echoy one to replace his usual anoying stuffy one.

"When the sun shall be turned into darkness, and the moon into blood, before the great and terrible day of the Lord." Was all he stated but the sudden scream could be heard as Duke Weasleton suddenly fell to the ground, blood spilling out of his neck.
As they all stared at the body in horror some people crying others wondering what the message could possibly mean. Before a voice shakingly spoke.

"Ki-kinng, l-look at the sk-sky." Chris said as he stared in horror as the moon seamed to be more visible than usual. And a color of blood established it's presence. All stared and slowly they came to a realization.

They had to nightfall to find a sacrifice.
