3rd Person's Point Of View
"Tae, I have something to say." Theo spoke immediately after they sat on the couch of Theo's hotel room.
"Well so do I." Taehyung grinned and crossed his arms. "I was about to say the same thing." Theo narrowed her eyes at Taehyung and he only waved, the tension between the two growing.
"I'm saying mine first." Theo decided, closing her eyes and clearing her throat, her heart pounding in her chest. It was all she could focus on, other than his eyes, his voice.
"No I am." Taehyung frowned, adjusting his seating too as he got nervous. He had told Jimin he was confessing to her over text, and that was a lot easier than now.
"Mine's way more important than yours, trust me."
"I really doubt that." Taehyung chuckled, determined to win this 'argument.'
"I'm in charge of this relationship, I go first." Theo shot back and Taehyung held his heart, acting all hurt and offended. But honestly, he didn't mind when Theo got all dominant-
"I would like to disagree with that statement." The two shared the same smile, their heart beating at the same pace. Theo cocked an eyebrow.
"Fine, we'll go at the same time." They both nodded. "One-"
"Two! I love you!" Taehyung blurted out, a blush on his face, Theo freezing. Their hearts stopped, still in sync as they continued to beat. "I've had a huge crush on you ever since you played the piano that night in Paris. And," Taehyung swallowed, unclenching his fists. "It would mean the world to me if you would be my girlfriend." A soft smile crossed Theo's face. Taehyung decided to slowly crawl closer to Theo, leading her onto her back as Taehyung was on top of her now.
"Wow Tae," Theo smiled, lifting her chin. "You actually have balls." That's when Taehyung knew she liked him too. She wasn't acting guilty. She was blushing, her fingers were shaking, but she tried to be dominant. It was so cute.
"You just made this unemotional." Taehyung grinned, inching his whole body down, his muscles burning from the extensive use for the day, oh but it was worth it.
"Yeah yeah." Theo relaxes against the couch, letting Tae know she trusted him. And she did so. She trusted him so much, more than her own family. "But...I was actually going to ask you to be my boyfriend."
"Really?" Taehyung breathed out, Theo smiling as the hot air hit her face, her heart beating fast. "I'll be your boyfriend!" Taehyung finally laid down, wrapping his arms around Theo. Theo smiled down at Taehyung, his head against her chest.
"Guess what my answer is." Theo tapped Taehyung's nose, Taehyung smiling, swallowing a giggle.
"Hmm?"
"I'd date you for a million years."
"Only a million?" Taehyung teased, pressing his nose against her neck.
"I'll make it a week." Theo backed up, Taehyung sitting up quickly.
"One million it is!" Taehyung exclaimed, hugging Theo tightly, twisting themselves so he was on his back, Theo on top now. Theo giggled and nuzzled her head into his neck now, Taehyung laughing with her, his arms holding her tight.
"In all seriousness Tae, I do love you. Thank you for confessing." Theo spoke after they calmed down. Taehyung smiles softly, looking up at the ceiling.
"I love you too."

"Theo." Taehyung grabbed Theo's hand, stopping her from the clean-up of the late night snack. Theo dropped to her knees as a reflex, lowering her head as much as she could. But upon realizing who had touched her wrist, she covered her mouth, sitting back on her feet. "What....was that?"
"N-nothing." Theo tried to pull her arm away from Taehyung, but he held on, Theo's fear peaking. "Plea-" Taehyung pulled her arm, leading her to stand up, and finally next to him. Theo had tears streaming down her face now, all traces of the happy moment they had before, gone. All she could think of, was her mother.
"Theo," Taehyung pushed Theo's sleeve up her arm, revealing bruises and healing cuts, and too many scars. "I've...oh God...." Taehyung's thumb traced over the groove a rather brutal scar had left. "I've watched you deteriorate over the course of three years." Taehyung pulled her sleeve back down, Theo's eyes closing, her face crumbling as she turned her head. "Baby," Taehyung turned her chin back to him. "Who hurt you?" Theo choked out a sob and held Taehyung's hand with both of hers, his fingers against her lips.
"My mom." She whispered, Taehyung's nose flaring. "Ever since I came back from Paris....she would attack me." Theo looked up at Taehyung, her cheeks wet with tears, lashes damp and sticking to another. "At first, it was just...just slaps. And then she threw rocks and bricks. And then...it got so much worse after the bat." Theo dropped Taehyung's hand to cover her mouth, crying, alone.
"Did she....is she cutting you?" Taehyung forced himself to ask, his eyes burning, his heart throbbing for his girlfriend. Theo's cries worsened as she nodded, all pain and memories coming back from her mother.
She'd push Theo's head down, smashing it against the floor as she kneeled on top of her, barely allowing her to breathe. She would growl so many awful things in her ear, dragging that wretched bald across her skin, saying she deserved this.
She deserved all of it.
"Why didn't you tell me before?" Taehyung mumbled as he hugged Theo tight.
"I thought you would hate me." Theo mustered up enough strength, repairing her voice only for those words. "I couldn't lose you."
"I could never, ever hate you." Taehyung rubbed her back soothingly, laying a gentle kiss on her head. Taehyung waited until she could breathe normally again, letting her sobs subdue. "You can't go back there."
"I have to." Theo closed her eyes, feeling her legs relax. How long has it been since she's slept again? Two...three days?
"No-"
"You don't understand." Theo's voice became slurred, Taehyung's warmth and comfort destroying her composure. "She'll hurt my siblings instead....It's okay....one more...year." Theo went limp against Taehyung, startling him.
"Theo?" Taehyung looked down, tilting her chin up so he could see her face. "You've probably kept yourself awake, haven't you?" Taehyung laid down, brushing her hair from her face so she'd get cold air, not hot, muffled air. "I wish I could protect you."
