Everyone was boarding the train with their friends or saying goodbyes to their loved ones. I took in a deep breath and boarded it 'Ok, Y/F/N, don't be an antisocial, go make some friends, but first I need to find a compartment.' They all seemed to be full of students, talking to each other and having fun. Finally I reached the last one, where 2 boys were seated, having what I assume a casual conversation'.I gently knocked on the door so I could get their attention, both boys turned their heads at the same time ''Hello'' I gave them a confident smile, but on the inside I was really nervous ''Is it alright if I sit here? The other compartments are packed with people and I do not know anybody here'' I let out a slight chuckle.
The guy with red hair moved a little and patted the place next to him, gesturing for me to sit down next to him... he kinda reminded me of a squirrel. ''Sure! I am Ron, Ron Weasley.'' I shook his hand while giving the friendly boy a smile. His father and mother were in my dads photo, he mentioned them a couple of times, guess they were good friends in their teenage years. ''I am Y/N Thornwood, it is a pleasure to meet you Ron Weasley.'' he gave me a surprised look ''You are the daughter of Elizabeth and William Thornwood?!'', ''Ye-'', ''On Merlin's beard... It is my first day and I met Harry Potter and Y/N Thornwood.'' I laughed slightly at his an- wait... DID HE SAY HARRY POTTER?!''
I quickly turned to the raven haired boy with big round glasses who was seated in front of me. Before I could transform into an out of control fangirl, my father's words came in my mind ''The boy, his name is Harry, he went through a lot... please be kind to him and try to be his friend'' I regained my posture and cleared my throat, putting my hand forward for him to shake ''It is a pleasure to meet you Harry. I hope we can be great friends'' I looked at both of them.
''So what house do you want to be sorted in?'' both of them looked at me with curious eyes. I think for a moment before answering ''I would be happy in any house, I haven't really thought about it.'' Getting more comfortable on the bench. ''We both want to be in Gryffindor. Hufflepuff and Ravenclaw are ok, but Slytherin... they are the worse!'', ''They can't be that bad'', Ron suddenly got fired up and started ranting. When he finally stopped, I continued. ''To be honest, it would be nice to be in Slytherin too. Knowing you are destined for greatness and all of that shit... sorry for the language boys'' all of us laughed and continued on with our conversation about houses, quidditch and all of that.
Suddenly, the door was opened by a girl with brown, bushy hair and brown eyes. ''Have you seen a Toad? A boy named Neville has lost one. While talking she noticed Ron, who had his wand out ready to do something stupid, but I was not going to stop him. '' Oh, you are doing magic. Well, let's see it then.'' She encourages eagerly as she sat down next to Harry. The red head raised his wand and started chanting ''Sunshine, daisies, butter mellow, turn this stupid fat rat yellow!'' A light emitted from the wand, but nothing happened. The girl spoke ''Are you sure that is a real spell? Well, it is not very good, is it?'' Ron glances at me, then Harry, giving both of us a look of annoyance. ''Of course, I've only tried a few simple ones myself, but they've all worked for me'' the girl pulls out her wand, aiming her wand towards Harry. ''Oculus Reparum'' Harry's glasses immediately repaired. ''That's better, isn't it?'' she noticed the scar on the poors guy forehead ''Holly cricket, you are Harry Potter! I'm Hermione Granger. And you are... ?'' I gave her a slight smile '' I am Y/N Thornwood, it is a pleasure to meet you'' she stared at me for a moment ''I have read about your family's history and I must say, it is fascinating. Is it true that you are descendants of Salazar Slytherin'' wait... what? ''Ummm.. I do not really know... '' then she moved her attention to Ron ''Ron Weasley.'' He muffled out, his mouth full with sweets. Hermione gave him a disgusting look, ''Pleasure'' she turned back to me. ''You three better change into your robes, we will be arriving soon!''
