Perfect day turns out to Nightmare

In Mumbai - 3pm(8 months back)

Malhotra mansion

"Robert did you checked the food and decore?"

"Yes mam! Everything is ready."

"What about the flowers that I had asked you yesterday?"

"Here they are mam!"

A lady in early 40's was standing in the living room and instructing her servants.

"Neyonika relax. Why are you getting worked up?,let them handle it." A man around 50's came behind her dragged her from the chaos.

"Huh! What relax raj today is my son's engagement and you are asking me to relax like seriously"
Raj made her sit on the sofa and said

"Neyonika don't stress yourself,be calm."

"Ok raj,did you checked the guest list?"

"Done."

"Ok, but where is manik?"

"Ah! There was an important meeting with clients so he-" Neyonika didn't let him finish his word.

"What meeting raj? Today is his engagement,but he was doing his work at office?like seriously!"

Raj(sighed)"Neyonika it's really an important deal Otherwise why will i let him go? you tell me."

"When will he come to hom-"
She didn't even finished her word. A boy entered into living room with a tired face.

"Mom black coffee..."

Sensing his mood off raj asked "Manik is everything alright you are looking bit off"

"Nothing happened dad chill, I'm just tired that's it."

"Ok, how is the meeting?"

"The deal is on dad"

"It's good news,well done my boy."

"Are you done with your office talks raj?" Neyonika asked seriously.

"Yes it's done my lady" he said dramatically

"Raj stop your drama, go and get ready, there are loads of work to do"

"Darling don't worry i already talked with event manager about the decore and food. Everything is done so chill. The only thing we have to do is to get ready,that's it" Manik said in one go.

"Neyonika chill, everything is set so no problem" saying this raj again turned to talk with manik, neyonika tapped his shoulder and said

"Go to our room and get ready now"

"Ok meri ma going going" by saying this he went to his room. Manik is laughing at his father's condition.

"Is there any cartoon show going on here huh...you also go and get ready go"

"Going darling" he ran to his room.

"Yeh baap-beta ko koi nahi badhal saktha" she also sighed and went to get ready. Meanwhile her phone started ring.

"Hello!Mrs.Gupta...... yes.......everything is perfect......yeah decor hogaya......yeah sirf dulhan aana he baki hai. Yeah yeah be on time, bye"

Time 6pm

Guests started to come and manik is getting ready in his room. The living room was decored as bride everyone are praising the decore.

Around 7'o clock everyone arrived to the venue. At once hall became silent when manik descending the steps, everyone in the hall astonished by his look,he directly went to his parents, hugged his mom and dad. He is looking so handsome in his red sherwani. All are giving compliments to him. After receiving everyone he is talking with one of his clients. The party is going in full swing but one person is missing, everyone are eager to see the bride. But she is nowhere to be found, everyone asking neyonika. Neyonika went to Mrs.Gupta

"Mrs.Gupta where is sonakshi?"

"Mrs.Malhotra don't worry she will here in time."

"Ok,but where is she right now?"

"She was stuck in traffic, don't worry she will arrive in time." saying this tensely she went to swimming area with Mr.Gupta. Neyonika found little fishy but chucked the topic and went to guests.

It's been one hour, still bride is missing. Everyone started gossiping about this. Raj is getting frustrated and went to Mr.Gupta.

"Mr.Gupta where is sonakshi? How much time will you guys take to bring her?" He shouted with low tone. Raj is shaking with anger. Mr.Gupta about to answer him,a driver came inside with a letter and gave it to Mr.Gupta.

"What is this? where is my daughter? You are the one right going to pick my daughter from spa?"

"Yes sir! I'm the one, but mam is not with me sir" the words came like whisper from his mouth.

"What you mean by not with you? Where did she went?"

"I don't know sir. I'm waiting for mam, when it's time 7 i went inside the parlour and asked about the mam but they said there is no such person came for appointment, then I showed her picture, she said she came inside the parlour and again went immediately but while going she gave a this letter to receptionist sir,then we search in CC cameras sir mam went inside the parlour and run away from the back door of the building."

Mr&Mrs.Gupta collapsed on the sofa. Meanwhile manik took the letter from the driver read it loud.

Dear mom & dad,

I am sorry, a small sorry can't subside your pain,But you guys didn't gave me chance too. I love dev and I said this to you many times, but you guys went against my will and set the engagement with malhotra family. Raj uncle and neyonika aunty are very nice people, but i don't want to marry manik. He is really great person with golden heart. But i already loved dev, i can't betray him. If i obeyed with you to marry manik, then our both relation will on stake, that's why i'm taking this step.I really feeling very bad to run away like this but you did gave option dad. I love you mom and dad,please don't hate me. And uncle,aunty I'm sorry i know a single sorry can't forgive me, but I can't take this step uncle. So I have decided and walked out from this engagement. Manik I know may be you are very angry with me and you should be angry for betraying, I'm sorry manik, but I can't do anything other than this, even I tried to contact you and uncle but my parents blackmailed me,so I couldn't stop the engagement sorry. Please forgive me.

Raj and Neyonika are shocked after reading letter,Mr&Mrs.Gupta hanged there heads low. Raj is fuming with anger and went upon the stage

"Sorry for the inconvenience guys but the engagement was cancel so please all of you leave after the dinner."saying this he went to his room, neyonika also went behind him. Manik and his p.a controlling the situation.

In Room

Raj is walking to and fro inside the room. Meanwhile neyonika came inside and confronted him.

"Raj control yourself,Leave the matter."

"Leave the matter,how can i leave it? you think I will leave this then i'm sorry to disappoint you I am not going to leave. How dare she huh? How dare she refuse my son for someone?"

"What we do, when she is in love with someone else?"

"Then she should confess everything before only right, she could have say to manik or me but no see,what she have done?? Today mine and my son's image is at stake,Just because of her."

"Raj may be she is scared because of her parents and-" raj cutted her in middle

"Scared?? Huh, if she is that scared she shouldn't love neyonika, if she is scared to admit it, why the hell should they love, if they don't have guts to stand for there loved ones they have no right to love, she should talked to me right before all this drama, can't she think about her family....." saying this he sat at once on the bed clutching his heart. At the same time manik entered the room while raj was breathing heavily, both manik and neyonika shout at a time.

"Raj,dad"
