Carter-
'You're so boring.' l glared at the cheerleader, lifting myself up from the uncomfortable couch and wearing my designer hoodie over my white shirt.'W-wait come back! I promise I'm fun, we just haven't spent a lot of time together. You just came' she stuttered.
'This is over' I said, without hesitation. I fixed my hair with my right hand and then walked away. Of course, being the most popular guy at school has it's perks. Like for example being able to probably get any girl I want and having every guy fear me. But why is it that I'm still not satisfied? I already have a girlfriend who adores me, yet she's so annoying I wanted to go out with the head cheerleader to satisfy myself. In the end though she just ended up wasting my times, this sucks.
Maybe I should break up with Madison, she's weighing me down at this point. I put my hands in my pockets and kept walking, not necessarily going anywhere, I didn't have a destination in mind anyway. I hate this place I thought to myself, looking out onto the school's garden next to the soccer pitch, the weather was cold and it was very cloudy today. Bryce ran towards me and flung his arm around my shoulders. 'Hey dude, how was your date with Aurora?' he asked.
'Tedious' I continued. 'She's so annoying, I'd rather just hang out with the guys. Oh and I'll probably break up with my girlfriend soon, that's pretty much what you've missed'.
'Damn! That girl was the hottest girl in our school, you haven't lost your chance with her yet since you're Carter Bradley you know.' He grinned. I shook my head, I couldn't care less I hinted to him with my eyes.
'So that's the look that gets all the girls, I'll keep that in mind' he started laughing, I looked away unbothered as I lifted my hood to my head. 'You know, actually, I heard that a new girl is coming to our school from London soon. Isn't that weird how she's coming right now? Like in the middle of the year? She's in our grade too. I hope she's hot.' he started daydreaming at the thought, how can I be friends with this loser, I snickered.
Amelia-
We left home and I couldn't have missed it more than I have now. Tears dripped onto my cheeks, my nose turning rosy and my eyes getting puffy. I rubbed my eyes with my hands, I couldn't believe this was actually happening right now! I could have never imagined it, not in a million years.
I kept fidgeting with my fingers, looking down, as we entered the airport. Each one of us pulling our bags behind us and not looking back. Tom, my older brother, approached me with a gentle smile on his face- his honey colored eyes gazing at me sincerely. He put his arm over my shoulders, his other arm pulling his bag. I heard him whisper in my ear 'It's going to be alright sis, I promise.'
I looked up at him and forced a smile, although it wasn't the best I could make up, I think he believed it. I already miss my life here, why would I ever want to leave, I reasoned with myself. It's alright this is a new start, maybe my life there will be good- I should be strong for my family and be an example for Elise, my little sister.
I glanced around looking for her, she was as distressed as me. I walked towards her and comforted her like Tom did for me, I really want to be a strong older sister that she can look up to. I came to my senses after I realized I was daydreaming. We were in the plane now and it was time for take off, I wonder how differently my life would have been if I had never left this place at all.
Soon, we were up in the clouds. This was my first time traveling on a plane, I was amazed at how this metal structure was able to take us across the ocean, let alone stay in the air. I watched the plane window, astounded by the view, It was truly gorgeous. I laid down and closed my eyes, drifting off to sleep.
Before I could even comprehend what was going on, we were already in America. I jolted up from my seat and looked around as everyone started to leave the plane. Dad called me over and gave us all our passports, so we could pass through the last part of security, before we could meet Aunt Eleanor at the pick up point. I hadn't seen her in so long, I hope she's doing well.
Carter-
Mom and dad left us for date night today, meaning that me and my idiot of a brother Cameron were supposed to 'take care of the house'. I usually threw parties on days like these, but today I just didn't feel like it, they weren't as fun as they were back then.
Anyway, Cameron would've told mom and dad and I would've gotten grounded or something like that. Tonight, I wanted to watch a movie with my brother. We don't spend a lot of time together and I heard rumors that he'd gotten a girlfriend- without telling me his older brother- how rude.
I shoved more popcorn in my mouth, from the bowl on my lap. 'Hey Cameron, wanna watch a movie with me?' I shouted. I made some space for him on the couch and sat in a comfortable position, as I turned on the tv with my other hand.
'Sure bro, hold up I'm coming down' he replied.
We watched a horror movie. My favorite and obviously I picked it, movies like these made him nervous so it was easier for me to make him spill his secrets.
'So... I heard you got yourself a girlfriend' I asked, turning to him with a grin on my face.
'Um y-yeah, I have a girlfriend now, she's really cute and I think she likes me. I was the one who confessed first but she seemed to like me back' he replied.
I gave him a nudge on the shoulder 'hey that's great bro! If you need any advice you can come to me, I have a lot of experience'. I winked at him.
'Sure you do' he rolled his eyes. I kicked him, then we both burst into laughter.
Amelia-
We were finally at aunt Eleanor's house,we took our bags inside, I started stretching and then took a look around her house with my siblings. It was beautiful, she really knew how to decorate- the furniture was minimalist and all the colors matched in shades of brown and white. Some rooms had gold furniture and glass tables with blankets on the side to pull the look together.
Aunt Eleanor showed me the way to my room, her house was really big. I took my stuff with me and followed her.
'I hope you like it here honey, I know you miss your old house very much' She said.
'Don't worry about it and thank you auntie.' I smiled at her warmly. She nodded and left, I started looking around. This room was way better than my old one, the one that I shared with Elise back home. I walked towards the window in my room and looked out- our neighbors were watching a movie downstairs- I closed the curtains.
