The Beginning of The Raven

Chapter 8

Prior and Paige

A few days later after Lora, Nightfall and Oreo met the witch doctor of The Dark Forest. Although, Lora and Oreo wanted to see what was on the other side of The Dark Forest base and they wanted to be the first ponies make it through the forest. But, they were both short lived that Darkvine Raven revealed that two couples that made it through. But, Nightfall knew that they must had some kind of good reason to make it through there.
Soon, the night came back quicker than expected. And Nightfall saw that Lora & Oreo were sleeping soundly. She then took her opportunity to sneak outside of Ponyville to see what lies inside The Dark Forest where Darkvine Raven is last sighted to live.
Once she started to walk in the night that was still young she found herself in the gaps two pathways.
One side lend to The Dark Forest and the other lend to the portal to unknown realm that stated as the Equinox.
Nightfall went down the left side that led to The Dark Forest to visit Darkvine Raven. That she didn't know what the other path even meant at the time being.
Soon, she saw two ponies at the entrance of The Dark Forest they were.
Nightfall: Prior?! Paige?! What in Celestia's name are you two doing here?
Prior and Paige turned around to see that Nightfall was walking towards them both.
Prior: We're just trying to solve a major mystery of what lies inside this forest?
Paige: We're trying to see what happens if anypony were to go into this forest. We've heard that no pony has ever been in here?
Prior: Which is why we are going to bring something out as a sample.
Nightfall: Sorry to burst your bubble for the both of you. But, there is somepony who already lives inside there.
Prior: Are you just messing with us? No pony even lives in this here forest.
Soon, Darkvine came walking into the path and saw those two ponies talking to Nightfall with their backs faced towards him. As Nightfall listens to Prior & Paige ramble on she notices that Darkvine Raven is standing seven feet away as he gave her a sign language. She then nodded and kept them distracted to examine the tree's as Prior and Paige were starting to get the idea. Darkvine then started to walk the other direction into finding another entrance that was on the right side that led to his hut. Paige & Prior were now examining the vines next as Darkvine made past them without being noticed by those two.
When he made it into his other entrance he closed it silently.
Nightfall: Alright you two. I think it's about time to call it a night. I need to head back to Ponyville before Lora & Oreo suspect anything subspecies that I was gone.
Paige: Yeah. I think so too. C'mon Prior. We'll come back in the morning.
Prior: Alright. We'll be seeing you later Nightfall.
Nightfall watched Prior and Paige leave as she went around the right side of The Dark Forest. And Darkvine opened up the tree's and vines into showing her what he looks like in the dark with his eyes glowing.
Nightfall: Heh nice glowing eyes there, Darkvine.
Darkvine: Tch. This how I get around. I put a little bit of fear into the ponies that come venturing into my home. Some ponies believe that this forest is completely pointless inside and want nothing more than to steal what's inside. Just like those two friends of yours.
Nightfall: Well, Prior and Paige love to see what's behind all sorts of things.
Darkvine turns away and mumbles to himself that his time in this world will be short once those ponies from Equinox comes for him.
Nightfall: Darkvine? Are you alright? You seem worried?
Darkvine did not realize that he went into a mumble just now. He then closed the entrance and went into hiding again. Nightfall tried to jump in but she failed as the tree's and vines had completely closed off any entrances.
Nightfall tried desperately to call out for Darkvine but with no answer. She wondered what could have happened and what could he be mumbling about?
Nightfall: Strange? He normally would be here in a hurry?
Prior: Nightfall! Nightfall!
Paige: Who were you talking to?
Nightfall sees Prior & Paige come running back after they heard her yelling at the Dark Forest that there was no one there.
Prior: We need to leave. This place is starting to get swallowed up in the fog.
Paige: C'mon Nightfall. Prior and I hate to get caught up in that fog.
Nightfall, Prior and Paige started walking back to Ponyville and Nightfall looked behind her and saw that The Dark Forest was completely swallowed by the thick heavy fog.
Once they got back to Ponyville, Nightfall told them goodnight and so did they.
《The Next Morning》
Oreo, Lora and Nightfall woke up and started to make their own breakfast. Prior and Paige at their place were doing the same thing.
Dark Star X was with Chaos discussing about Darkvine as they too were out getting breakfast.
RareRhyme had come back to Ponyville into getting to meet Darkvine Raven into getting more of his edible teeth medicine for his throat but he need to get something to eat first.
Black Void was eating her meal for this morning.
Though, Twilight was bringing her Ponyville friends to meet somepony in a forest that they have never been inside of.
When RareRhyme, Lora, Nightfall, Oreo, Black Void, Dark Star X, Chaos, Prior and Paige had all finished eating Twilight saw everypony and told them to come with them to the Dark Forest.
Everypony agreed to follow them to see Darkvine Raven. Once they've started their way to the Dark Forest they were all in a halt when they all saw that the way to the Dark Forest was nowhere to be seen in this thick heavy fog that had a very chilly atmosphere around it making the weather feel cold but without any trace of snow or rain. But, in its place was ashes falling from the sky.
