Chapter 1 [9]

You returned to your cottage. You lay on your bed, thinking about what to do for the rest of the day. Then, you sat up.

"Maybe I should hang out with Nagito!" You said to yourself.

Whilst you were returning to your cottage, you saw Nagito head off to the beach. You thought that he must be there. So you exited your cottage and made your way to the beach.

You walked along the path, waving at others that were passing by. When you finally arrived at the beach, you saw Nagito talking with Hajime. You felt upset, but you didn't want to be rude, so you used the Monomono machine then returned to your cottage.

You sat on your bed, bored. You had all day, but you are not the type of person to sit around doing nothing all day. You leaned backwards on your bed, the pillow cushioning your fall. You lay there for a few minutes then decided to leave the cottage once again.

Outside you saw Togami, muttering.

"What's the goal of the powerful organization who kidnapped all of us...? We still don't have nearly enough hints to start thinking about that."

"Hey, Byakuya, sorry for interrupting, but could we maybe hang out. I'm kinda bored right now and have nothing to do-" You asked.

"Very well. I've been thinking too much, and now I'm hungry. I shall go have a light snack... Out of all the people who could of talked to me, it was you. Oh well. Accompany me." Togami responded.

You both made your way to the restaurant, and you watched Togami eat a not so small amount of fast food.

"Since you are like the leader, can I make a suggestion to help all of the class come closer?" You asked.

"That's a stupid idea, but I may consider it." Byakuya replied after swallowing the food that was in his mouth.

You feel like you grew a little closer with Byakuya today. You gave Togami a ramune that you got from the Monomono machine. He took it from your hands and began inspecting it.

"You hold peculiar objects. Crude commodities someone in my position has never laid hands on... My interest is piqued. I shall take it." He said.

You stood in silence for a few seconds.

"May I ask you a question [L/n]?"

"Oh, sure!" You replied.

"There's been a little something troubling me for a while now. I just want to settle this problem. Answer me! What is your body fat ratio?!" Togami asked.

"I've never checked-" You began.

"You've never checked? Are you telling me you have no interest in the amount of fat stored in your body...?!" He asked.

"N-no-" You muttered.

"By the looks of it, it's within the singular digits. You should be thankful we've been taken to a tropical island. Had it been a different place, you could have frozen to death." He rambled.

"I could of died?" You asked.

"Yes, but as long as I am around, everyone will be safe. The Togami Conglomerate is already an international power, but it shall take an even greater leap forward under my leadership. I think you are very lucky to have a person of such exceptional talent among you now." Byakuya stated.

You somewhat felt safe around him.

"All I ask is that you do your best to stay out of my way. Simpletons should know their place and act responsibly. But... if you're troubled by anything, I won't mind if you come to me." He assured.

"Thanks, I'll come to you if I ever need help!" You chirped.

After that you returned to your room. You still had free time, you decided to go to the beach and see if Nagito was still there. You exited your room, and skipped along the path to the beach.

Once you arrived there, you saw it was empty, only the footprints of people who had been there remained. You walked over to the Monomono machine, and used it once again. After inserting your coin, a notebook feel out. There appeared to be letters on the front, but you could just about make them out. Ky...ko...Oto...'s Memory Notebook. There was writing inside it, but it was too worn out to read.

You left the beach, and decided to head to Jabberwock Park. To your surprise, Nagito was there, sat on one of the benches gazing off into the sky. You walked up to him.

"Hi Nagito!" You said.

"Oh, hi [Y/n]. I saw you at the beach earlier, why didn't you say hi?" He asked.

"Oh, well you were with Hajime, and I didn't want to be rude, so I left you two be." You answered.

"You're really considerate! I'm sure Hajime wouldn't mind!" Nagito praised.

You both talked until it got late, you felt like you had grown a little closer to Nagito. You decided to give him the notebook that you had won from the Monomono machine. He took it out of your hands and inspected it.

"This seems really valuable. I hope you don't mind me keeping this!" Nagito asked.

"It's fine! It's gotten really late now, we should head to the cottages." You replied.

And with that, you both returned to your cottages.
