After my shower, I get out, drying my hair. I walk to my huge walk-in closet picking a nice dress out that's not fancy but also looks like it could be used to go to a business meeting. I slip into the long black dress with a slit up the side that stops right above my knee, then put on some silver shoes with a diamond bracelet that my mother had bought me. I step out of my room, walking down the curled stairs towards the front door.
"Your gonna knock them dead in that. He won't be able to take his eyes off you," my dad says while smiling at me.
"Who won't?" I ask with a raised eyebrow.
Dad smiles as he stands by the front door "My client, Dominic McNeil. He is one of my top clients that uses my services quite a bit."
"That's the one you have told us about before. He is the King of his Empire. They have top-of-the-line guns along with a ton of equipment that a lot of people buy from them. They have a section of their house that is just for their business only," Raymond chimes in.
"Yeah, they are self-made billionaires. He and his two brothers run everything now that his parents retired a few years ago," my dad adds.
"Isn't he like thirty?" Ray asks.
"No, he is twenty-six. His brothers are twenty-four and twenty-two. They are a force to be reckoned with, seeing how they are the most powerful family alive right now. No one crosses them; no one challenges them either. What they say goes where no one that I have ever run across questions them. If someone crosses them, they call me," he says, pointing at himself.
"So why did I need to dress this nice then? I could have just put on a nice summer dress or something?" I ask.
Dad's eyes flash with something, then he walks towards the opened door. We get into our limo, where it drives us to this huge mansion out in the middle of hundreds of acres.
"Holy cow, this is about as big as ours, if not bigger. They are l powerful family to own this; it's a fortress-like our house," I say as we drive through one set of big iron gates.
My dad looks at me. "Yeah, they have over one hundred guards stations around this house."
Ray chimes in, "So you can't get in here without an invite, huh?"
Dad shakes his head. "No, they will kill you on the spot if they haven't invited you to the house."
Our limo pulls up to another set of closed gates where ten men stand there with guns pointing at the window. Dad rolls the window down, showing them who he is as they lower their guns, nodding to the gateman to open the gates. The limo rolls up to the front door, where we get out. A butler opens the front door motioning us to walk in. A beautiful set of white tile is all over the grand entrance as a staircase that goes up then splits off into both directions winding back around above us. We take those stairs to a huge set of wooden doors as the butler knocks.
A deep male voice comes from behind the door, "Come in."
The butler pushes the doors open to sweep his arm out for us to walk into a huge office.
As my father walks in, a young man sits behind the desk who rises to greet him. Two other men are sitting on the couch also rise to greet my dad.
"Ah, Mr. Williams. Welcome. We have been expecting you. Who are these two charming people you have brought with you today? You know our meetings are private," he says in a commanding voice.
My dad stands tall in the room while looking at the man behind the desk. "These are my children Dom. This is Abigail, and that is Raymond. Abigail is next in line to my empire, so I thought it would be nice if you met my replacements coming here eventually. We do so much business together that one day you will have to use them when I retire."
