Before I start I just wanna say I have no idea of what to write (update: halfway done here I ended up coming up with an idea)(update to the update: I was going to make this longer but I decided that I'm going to cut it into 2 parts so you all don't have to wait longer and so I can have more chapters. Tho I might edit it later if the second part ends up being too small)
This sort of became a vent and self-comfort type of thing for me I'm sorry :( But I put some sadness/comfort in there. it probably isn't much but hopefully, I can give you all more fluff soon. :] <333
I honestly love all of you so very much/p I appreciate all of the love and support I appreciate it lots <333 (also if you just want to skip all of the filler and get to the sad and comfort part it's divided with a straight line (—-) :DAnyways I hope you enjoy the chapter
Little warning(?): a bit of cursing (2-3 words I think), crying, talk about being usually sad, and slight panic (?)

•*BEEP BEEP BEEP*
"Ugh....," you groan as you turn off your alarm. You look at the clock trying to read the time. "7:49 am?...," your eyes widen, "Fuck I'm late." In a sort of panic, you try to get out of bed to take a quick shower and get ready for work. You speed walk out of your room and down the stairs almost tripping in the process. As you got your bag ready for work, you tried to make toast. Though it ends up a bit burnt you decide it's good enough and put some butter on it. Once you are finished getting ready and reach the lobby, you start to run to work. You almost bump into multiple people on your way and apologize immediately. It would be nice to have a flying quirk right about now.
Soon after, you reach the hero agency. "Finally," you sighed as you entered the elevator and put in your floor number. You check the time on your phone. 8:57.. Gosh, it's late. Once you arrive at your floor, you are immediately greeted by your coworkers. Most of them comment on how they were surprised by you coming in late. You tended to always be early to work, so what made that change?
You head off to your office to check in for work. You browse over the plans for the day when suddenly you hear a certain familiar voice.
"Ah, y/n, manager of the Hawks Agency, late to work? Can't believe it.""You're one to talk. Shouldn't you have started your morning patrol at 8:30, Hawks?" You looked up at him. Hawks would sometimes be late to morning patrols due to being distracted by something.
"Well I was buuuuut I wanted to say hello to a certain someone who was late. Had a bad night or something?" Hawks asked. He tried to act as if he hadn't entered your apartment last night.
"I guess you could say that," you sighed and leaned back on your chair. You were completely oblivious to what had happened that night, and Hawks wasn't about to bring it up. He didn't want to make you uncomfortable. He was sure this was something he should let you talk about when you were ready. That is, if you were ever.
"Anyways gotta go. Morning patrol's calling. Let's just hope you don't take a nap while at work. Bye!" Hawks says as he starts heading towards the door.
You roll your eyes at him not noticing him hinting at your regression, "Bye Hawks."———————————————————————————
Even though you had arrived late to work, you had been able to attend a meeting to make some plans for the agency. You ended up going out for lunch with some of your coworkers. The day had been great, and everything was going according to plan.
Until it happened.
You don't know what triggered. Something felt off, and it bothered you. You started to feel an overwhelming amount of sadness. 'Oh please not now. Not at work,' you thought to yourself. Trying to ignore it, you continue to work as tears fell down your face. 'This will pass soon. I'll be fine.'
Usually, the immense sadness would bring back memories from the past. This, of course, only just made everything worse. Crying would also tend to make you regress and fall into headspace. Unsurprisingly, this happens often. Almost every couple of weeks this little show occurs. Sometimes it's intense. Sometimes it's small. It can last from just a couple of minutes to more than half-hour. It's draining. All of the crying.
Sometimes you could still hear all of the arguing, screaming, and crying.
*Knock Knock*
Shit.
Well, that's some perfect bad timing.
You panic trying to rub the tears off of your face and smile. "Come in," you tried to say, but your voice cracked."Gosh, I sure wish we had the same lunch break like we used to before. It's no fun without you anymore," Hawks complained as he leaned against your office's wall. He rested his head on the wall with his eyes closed. "Well anyway, how's-"
Hawks had finally opened his eyes and looked at you, "Y/n? What's wrong," he asked as he starts walking towards you.
No no.. why him.. why now..? You shook your head and sunk into your office chair. You felt embarrassed. You didn't want him seeing you like this.
Hawks was now in front of you. He crouched down and looked up at you. You couldn't see his face clearly due to the fact you were covering your face with your hands and the tears blurring your eyesight.
"Hey, hey what's wrong? Look at me." He reached to remove the hands covering your face, but you pushed away his hand and peeked through yours.
"Would you like for me to leave or-" You shook your head and reached out for his hand. "pea-please stay. Don't leave me." You tightened the hold of his hand, scared. The thought of him leaving triggered your fear of abandonment. The crying had made your mind go fuzzy, making you regress.
He tilted his head and gave you a sympathetic smile . "It's okay. I won't leave you. Don't worry, kid." He pulls you into a hug and starts to rub circles on your back. "It's okay to cry. You can rest your head on my shoulder if you want." His words and actions of reassurance made you feel ever smaller. "F-Thanks," you whispered as you rested your head on his shoulder and continued your stifled cries.
After a while, your crying had calmed down to small sniffles. The trails of your tears had now dried. Suddenly, you heard a buzz come from Hawks's pocket. It snapped the both of you out of the trance you were in. Hawks looked at you and mouthed 'sorry' as he declined the incoming call. He gave you one last squeeze before breaking away from the hug. You whine at the lose of his touch and comfort.
"I have to go now. I'm sorry," Hawks said in an apologetic tone. "You should probably go home early if you continue to feel upset. Bye-bye, kid. Love ya." He gave you a small peck on the forehead and ruffled your hair. He walked away to leave. When he reached the door, he looked back at you, smiled, and waved goodbye before leaving.
....
WHAT

•Ending note:
Hehe 'little' get it cause y/n regressed
I'm such a genius 😩‼️
Honestly, I don't think canon Hawks would be interested in being a caregiver due to his job lmao but it gives me comfort so :,] Also um well this is kind of embarrassing but as I had stated in the staring note this became a vent. Sometimes I get upset out of nowhere (not really out of nowhere something usually triggers it) like a couple of nights ago. But I'm fine don't worry. Usually after being upset a rush of euphoria hits me, so I'm good. Also recently I got sick so I've been really tired BUT that probably means Hawks taking care of sick regressed reader is maybe gonna be happening soon 😈‼️ (no promises tho)
Anyways yay I did it!! I finally finished chapter two after over a year of procrastination. Let's just hope the next chapter doesn't take a year 😀😭.
Also do y'all mind if I spill some of my personality on to y/n?
