Chapter 4

Jay's POV

Summer is almost over. This isn't good, because Hunter didn't seem too fond of the idea of school. Honestly though I'm sure he would like school if he went.

Hunter is very smart that's one of the reasons he never went to school before. The other reason being him not having parents, but that's a story for a rainy day.

Hunter is also very musical. He can play just about every instrument you can think of, and he can sing! Sometimes he performs at Bricks and it's always amazing!

There are a few music classes at this new school, so I'm sure he'll fit in with the people in those classes. Plus if we all stick together it'll be fun.

I smile to myself then reach for my phone to text my bestie. I wonder if she wants to have a movie night or something!

Jay: Wanna have a movie night Tay Tay
Taylor: Sure babe lemme go ask my mom
Jay: WOO!!!
Taylor: My mom said I can go! But I have to bring Grayson is that ok babe

I blush slightly at the thought of Grayson spending the night and having a movie night with us. Don't get me wrong he's slept over before but back then it was well...different. Truth is I've kinda had the BIGGEST crush on Grayson. I know he doesn't feel the same way so I'll never tell him.

Grayson and Taylor are siblings. They were both adopted by Mrs. Hyde, but that doesn't matter to them. They have the type of attitude that family is who has been there for you. Not blood that doesn't matter to them.

Jay: Yeah sure babe ill start rounding up the snack :)

Even if Grayson did have feelings for me I could never get with him. Taylor is my best friend I could never date her brother. Uhg I feel terrible for just liking him! I feel gross in a way. I've grown up with all of these guys Grayson might as well be my brother.

I start popping popcorn, and grabbing soda and cups to put in the living room. I also get some different types of candy and cookies to put in the living room with everything else.

I look around to see if I need anything else. Then I run and grab as many pillows and blankets I can carry, and throw them in a pile next to the snacks.

Then the doorbell rings. Excitedly I rush over to the door, take a deep breath, and let in Taylor and Grayson. Grayson is holding two backpacks, and Taylor is holding 3 Spongebob full season DVD,s.

"Okay I know it is movie night, but I thought we could watch Spongebob if that's okay. I have seasons 5, 3, and 1." I smile at her. She knows me so well.

"Fuck yeah! Of course I wanna watch Spongebob!" I shout.

Taylor goes over to the DVD player and puts in one of the DVDs. While Grayson and I set up the blankets and pillows. Taylor and Grayson both brought sleeping bags so we also set those up.

Soon we all lay in our giant makeshift bed. With me in the middle, Taylor on my left, and Grayson on my right.

We all have to lay very close to stay on the blankets. So close in fact that I can feel Grayson's arm brushing against mine as he eats some MilkDuds. I watch as he smiles while watching the cartoon. He looks down at me and smiles even brighter. I start to feel my cheeks go red. He also starts to blush for some reason.

I decide to break the eye contact by going back to watching Spongebob. I glance at Taylor noticing that she is sound asleep and slightly snoring. I look at my phone only to find out that it is 4:37 AM.

I feel Grayson grab my hand. Confused, I look at him only to see that he is watching Spongebob. He's acting like nothing happening! Like he's not even doing anything! What the actual fuck is happening? Why is he doing this? What does this mean? Does he know I like him? Is this some sick joke? Does he like me?

While all of these questions are running through my head. I didn't even notice Grayson had turned to me once again and was leaning in. This is until he kissed me of course.

At first I was surprised and didn't do anything. Eventually I closed my eyes and kissed him back. We both melted into the kiss. He grabbed and pulled at my hair, and I grabbed onto his arm.

Then I suddenly remembered Taylor. She's my best friend I can't do this to her. I quickly pushed Grayson off of me.

"I can't I'm sorry." I say looking into his beautiful eyes that were starting to turn sad.

Then I get up and go outside. I run to the edge of the forest and climb a tree.  Soon enough though Grayson is up in the tree with me.

"I'm so sorry Jay. I just really like you. I've liked you for some time now, and I thought you were giving off some signals that you liked me too. I'm sorry I kissed you Jay lets just forget about all of this okay." I sigh I don't like not being my normal happy self.

"No Grayson I'm sorry. I'm sorry I ran away. I like you too. It's just that Taylor is my best friend and I don't wanna hurt her." I look directly into his eyes so that he knows I'm not lying. Grayson nods his head.

"Yeah I don't really know how she would react." Grayson sighs. Then he perks up. "How about we have a secret relationship. Just to see if we are serious about each other, and if we are then we can tell her together." I think about the idea.

"I don't know Grayson what if she finds out." If Taylor finds out then she might hate me and I don't wanna risk out relationship. Then again I really like Grayson.

"Oh come on Jay I really like you and I don't want to lose my chance with you." He pleads. I slowly nod. What the heck! Sneaking around with Grayson is gonna be hot!

Grayson then hugs me and pecks me on the lips. We go back inside and continue to watch Spongebob.

Soon I feel myself starting to drift off into a dreamless sleep. With Grayson asleep at my side.
