The Facility

Sleeping was not an option for dark hair girls as she made a promise to everyone she cares about. She had to prepare herself harder if she was going to stay true to that promise. She was practicing on a dummy when she heard someone's voice.
"Shouldn't you be asleep?"He asked.
"I should be asking you the same thing."She chuckled.
"Would it be bad if I said I couldn't sleep?"The raven hair boy chuckled.
"I wanted to be prepared because I'm not breaking my promise to Katie. I told her I'm going to bring everyone back and I'm not going to ever leave her again."The raven boy sighed as he remembered him and the dark hair girl distanced themselves from their friends when everyone went missing.
"I get it. I really do. I regret separating from Katie when she was the one who needed us the most but I couldn't take it when my girlfriend had been taken away from me also."The raven boy whispered-yelled.
"That's why I'm going to do everything I can to save them. Now just go back to bed."She told him. He sighed and started walking back to the boys room.
"Lucy, if you're not going to listen to me then listen to Katie. She needs her big brother back."The raven hair boy said as he marched back to bed to get a few more hours of sleep.

Maria was the first to wake up as she laid in the bed. She knew she couldn't keep this from Delilah anymore. Delilah was like a sister to her and knew if she kept this any longer, it would be betraying her trust. Maria left her room to see someone in the kitchen.
"Hey, I'm Delilah's sister, Kelli."Kelli said as she saw Maria enter the kitchen for breakfast.
"Maria."She introduced herself.
"Can I ask you a question about Jesse?"Maria said. Kelli nodded.
"Has anything about him seemed off since you met him?"She asked.
"Well I only knew him since he and Delilah escaped the facility."Then the thought finally crossed her.
"Wait but didn't you know him when you worked at the facility before you had quit or whatever."Kelli told her.
"I only saw him when he went into the infirmary because he got into too many fights or when they put me as a supervisor in the yard when he went out there sometimes but it's like I did socialize with him."Maria said.
Maria was fixing an injury on a subject when Subject A-1 walked into the infirmary.
"Another fight, subject?"She asked.
"He's the one who started it."He answered as he sat in the hair, waiting for her to finish up.
"Alright, lets patch you up." Maria said as she covered up another scar. As he was dismissed back to his room, he grabbed her hand.
"You'll see very soon." Later in the week, she was assigned to work with the boss and lady where new subjects are given their powers.
"Hand me memory serum." The boss asked the lady, grabbing the syringe in the cabinet.
"What's the memory serum?" Maria asked. The boss didn't even notice her in the room so the lady answered her question.

It's what's given to each subject so they don't remember the outside and are given a new start." She answered. Maria just smiled at her and watched them give the poor girl powers and erase her memory. She knew what he was talking about now and knew what she had to do.

The next day,The Head, Maria, The Boss, and The Lady were all talking when Maria spoke up.

"I'm not doing this anymore." Maria mumbled.

"What was that agent?" The Head asked.

"I'm not going to stand by and let you guys erase innocent people's memories and put powers in them. It's wrong. So I quit" Maria told The Head.

"What are you going to do? It's like nobody would believe you as I'm a millionaire. They believe me over anybody else." The Head said. The Boss and The Lady stood quiet as they watched them argue.

"I don't care if anyone believes me. I'm leaving." Maria grabbed her keys and never looked back.

"So how'd you meet with Jesse and Delilah when they escaped?" Kelli asked as she took a sip of her coffee.

"They found me. I was hiding out in a small abandoned warehouse and then we found this place."Maria said.

"So why are you asking about Jesse again?"Kelli asked.

"It's about our plan today. He's working for The Head and if we didn't do this today, Delilah was going to be a subject again in the facility."Maria admitted.

"She doesn't know does she?"Kelli asked.

"No, and I want to tell her."She said.

"Because I'm her sister, I would say tell her. But being your friend in need, she's going to do anything she can to refuse it. I'll tell her if it makes it easier on you."Kelli told her.

"That would be great you."Maria said. They both started breakfast as they would wait for everyone to wake

After a sleepless night for Lucy, she went to find Logan and apologize for how she acted towards him earlier. As she walked by, she saw Jesse bump into Katie.

"Watch where you're going little girl. "Jesse said.

"You're the one who bumped into me."Katie exclaimed. Before she knew it, his hand was gripping her wrist.

"You're going to have to learn how to speak to me as I'm helping you get your brother back."Jesse whispered as Lucy and the boys came towards them.

"Do we have a problem here?"The brunette said as the three of them pulled Katie in for a hug.

"No, I was telling Katie if she's happy we're getting everyone back today."Jesse lied.

"Katie, is that true?"The raven boy asked.

"Yeah."She mumbled. Jesse smirked at her and walked away.

"Thanks guys."Katie said as she rubbed her wrist and walked away with the brunette.

"Logan,I'm sorry for how I acted earlier."Lucy said as it was just her and Logan.

"It's fine. We both said things we didn't mean."Logan chuckled.

"So you ready?"She asked.

"I've been ready ever since they took them from us."Logan said. Lucy smiled at him and they walked off to where everyone was.
