*Note: I am writing Kat and Crystal is writing Saf*

When Kat was a little girl, she was the type of kid that wasn't scared of anything. She spent all day outside, playing with the neighbors, wrestling the dog, climbing trees, splashing in mud, flipping on the trampoline, or singing to the birds. All-day every day was spent making up little skits and playing with her imaginary friends. Kat was free-spirited and happy all the time, like there was nothing in the world that could bring her down, which is probably why she grew up to be such a strong, beautiful young woman. Even after she lost her dad, she always found a way to see the bright side.

Her full name is Katerina Rose Marshall, but she decided to go by Kat because it is more fun, and she is obsessed with cats. Kat is the kind of girl everyone loves. Everyone is her friend, and she is always supportive and willing to fight for things important to her. She has a brilliant mind and a kind heart, and she always felt like she fit right in with the world. At least, she mostly fits in. Kat is 18 now, but she went through a rough patch as a teenager. When she was 15 her dad died, and Kat went through a really rough time. Kat and her dad were always really close, so losing him was like losing her best friend and biggest supporter.

Of course, she was surrounded by friends and family who love her dearly, but it was hard to find her way back to her old self. For a while, her inner light faded. It never completely left, but it dimmed and flickered. Eventually, she found a way to open up and move forward, preserving the memory of her father with happiness rather than sadness. Now, Kat is as happy as ever. She just graduated high school and is starting university in Paris soon. She loved her mom and little sister with all her heart, but she is excited to leave home and explore on her own for a while.

Kat is living her most authentic life, though she sometimes struggles with dating. It doesn't really bother her, though, because she is confident and focused on herself, and she often finds herself comforted by the knowledge that, one day, she'll get to meet her true love and live happily ever after. She rarely questions things like God, but it is curious how they get their tattoos. Kat has never been attracted to guys, but who gets to decide who she loves? Everyone just comes out of the womb tattooed with the first thing their soul-mate will say to them, but what mysterious force determines who her soulmate is? It doesn't really matter, she'll know when she knows but pondering the universe and God won't change anything.

As Kat grew up, she found her passion for music. It helped her through some of her roughest times and, somehow, always managed to cheer her up. She never went public with her songs before, but it is her dream to share her music and experience with the world, in hopes that her songs will make a difference to someone and possibly help them in the way it helps her. She also developed a love for acting. The skits she did as a child grew into plays and movies. She was hired to help with a few simple music videos, but now she wants to expand her horizons and try to get a role in a movie or tv show. More than anything, Kat wants to be happy her whole life. She doesn't want to be one of those people who grow up, get jobs they hate, run from their emotions, and drive themselves to misery.

Kat was raised in England her whole life, but Paris, the city of love and art, felt like a dream when she first got accepted into school. Besides being able to pursue her dreams of music and acting, Kat was so excited that she would finally get a chance to explore the world, or, at least, somewhere besides England. It would also give her an opportunity to meet new people, not that she needs more friends, but she wants to meet as many people as possible. There's also a lot of amazing food and scenery, so she could practice cooking and get back into her photography.

Overall, Kat is living a dream come true. She is content with her life and excited about what the future holds, but, little does she know, this year would be one of the most challenging and emotional of her life. Kat always thought it was weird that the tattoo on her shoulder said, "My world is ending and I can't stop it," but she would never in a million years have imagined how she meets her soul-mate and the journey they go on together.
