[ 21st Chapter ]

We only got to be with our dad for about half an hour or so, and then some doctor told us to go home, but Ricky refuse to.

So we were currently sitting in the waiting room, again. Just waiting.

I'm not even sure what we're waiting for anymore, but there is something. We have barely talked, and if we do, it's because we're talking to some nurses.

I really hoped my parents would be all right, because I couldn't bear not having them there. It would be so different. There would never be someone annoying waking you up in the morning with their horrible singing voice. I would never get to annoy them by playing my music loudly. And I would never get to hug them, tell them I loved them, again. And that sucks.

I know I didn't show them any love, but deep down, I really did. Very much.

I gazed over at Ricky, my half opened eyes staring at him while he was staring at the floor, his face expression hard. Like a stone.

"Rick." I said, lightly reaching my hand out to touch his shoulder.

He just kept staring at the floor, fiddling with his fingers nervously. "Ricky," I said again, this time squeezing his shoulder comfortinly.

"Yeah?" He said after some minutes, his voice quite raspy. He didn't look up at me, he just stared at the floor with a raised brow.

"I think we should get going, it's getting late." I stated, nudging him lightly.

"We should not, Lia." He snapped, finally looking up at my eyes. He looked so lost. His eyes looked sad. And he looked super pale.

"Are you okay?" I questioned worriedly, not really wanting to make him mad and by pushing him to get home with me.

"No, Liana. I am not fine." He said slowly, putting more effort on the 'not'. "I feel so numb, what if they won't wake up? What if they're," He stopped for a moment, breathing in deeply before letting out the word that I'll never want to hear again. "Dead."

"Ricky," I snapped, standing up, "They're not. Okay, now lets go home, you need some sleep." Ricky looked up at me with a bored expression, not even blinking. "Now." I added, and turned on my heels.

I quickly walked away, blinking quickly to try and keep myself from crying. '

I, Liana O'Leary, do not cry. I thought, laughing half heartily.

"Liana." My brother's voice called behind me, as I neared his car, and then in no time, he was walking beside me, his hand slowly brushing mine. "I'm sorry for snapping at you." He said, frowning his eyebrows together.

"It's fine, really." I stated, looking up at him with a half smile. "You're hurt, I get it, we all are, so we should respect it,"

"I love you, sister." Ricky said, chuckling quietly afterwards. "That feels so weird to say."

"Yeah, it does, but the truth is, we do actually love each other, even though we fight and argue." I said, and opened my brother's car door for myself to get in. "I'll drive, thank you very much!"

"No way! That is my car!" Ricky shouted, but was to late to catch the door because I slammed it in his face and locked the door quickly.

His mouth started moving quickly, like he was saying something, but I really couldn't hear him, so I just nodded my head and smiled sarcastically.

When Ricky had gone in the passenger seat, plugged his seat belt angrily and gave me the car keys we, we heated home, and let me tell you something, we were quick because I drive like a psycho, oops.

"Lia, I think you should slow down." My brother stated, his eyes wide as his hands were holding into the seat.

"Wow, dude, you suck. And plus, we're almost home, just like two blogs away!" I exclaimed, speeding up a little only to hear Ricky scream.

"Liana! Slow down, I swear to God, mum and dad will never allow you to get a-" He didn't get to finish his sentence because I took an u-turn into our driveway and smiled to myself.

"You were saying?" I asked, looking over at an scared Ricky. "Well this is awkward, I'm just going to go inside." I stated, shutting the engine down and jump out.

"What the fuck, Liana?" Ricky snapped when I was about to close the door.

"What?"

"Are you crazy?!" He snapped again, glaring at me. "You could have killed us." He mumbled, and then sighed loudly.

"Sorry? Just trying to enjoy being young." I rolled my eyes and left him in the car, after I had closed the door.

Once I had opened the front door and stepped in, I froze.

Guess who was just casually walking into the kitchen like he owned the place?

Yeah, the monster himself, Alec.

What the fuck was he doing here anyway? How did he get in?

"Um," I mumbled, and Alec's head shoot my way, his eyes wide.

There was an awkward silence between us, me looking at him weirdly, and him randomly swaying around, his eyes traveling down my body.

"You look nice, Lia." He spoke up after awhile, and I nodded, my mouth in a straight line from annoyance.

Why is he here? I was supposed to come home and be happy because I could go to sleep, not talk to a dork.

"You're alone here, right?" I asked, after I had left out a long sigh.

"Nope, Andrew is in the living room." Was the only respond I got and he was gone into the kitchen.

"Are you kidding me?" I groaned, entering the living room. "Andrew?" I asked, quietly.

"Yeah?" I heard, and then his familiar dark hair came for view. "Lia!"

"What the fuck are you two doing here?" I snapped, and Andrew looked at me speechless.

"Excuse me, Ricky, Alec and I were going to hang out today, but since he didn't show up we decided to check up on him?" Andrew stated, looking unsure.

"So, you just randomly walk into someone's house?" I questioned, and he shrugged.

"If you know were the keys are, yeah."

"You're so stupid. I can't believe Ricky would be your friend." Was the only reply he got from me, and then I left, walking quickly up the stairs and into my room.

I was not going to be dealing with Ricky's friends, he will, I though, evilly laughing in my head.

Once I'd changed into my pyjamas and thrown myself on the bed, I was asleep, like an angel.

I was awoken from my dream when someone started poking my nose and making some weird sound as he did so.

"Meeeeehhhp." A deep voice said and I turned around, so my face was in the pillow.

"Hey, that's an cheat!" The voice snapped, and I laughed.

"Fuck off, human."

"No, why would I?" The voice spoke again but this time turned me around and smirked down at me.

"Good morning, princess."
