He woke with a start. Fallen Leaves knew he was dead, but why he wasn't with his ancestors?
"It is not your time to leave, Fallen Leaves," he jumped back in surprise as a raspy mew sounded, the fur on his tail puffed out. It was Rock.
"When will I be able to leave?" He asked with fear in his tone, hoping he could leave these wretched tunnels where he died. Just the thought of knowing he died here made the fur on his back bristle.
"You are destined to wonder these tunnels forever." He said calmly, his bulging eyes looking straight back at his.
Then the ugly, old cat disappeared before his eyes.
"What! You can't just do that! Come back here you coward! Isn't it enough that I already died here!?" He yowled, but the ugly cat wasn't coming back anytime soon.
He sank his claws into the dirt, and his teeth clenched painfully. The fur along his back rose up, and his tail bushed out like a foxes.
He wondered along the tunnels, stomping in anger, and glaring at the walls of the confined space.
Is this where I'm going to spend my time? Down in these tunnels alone?
The thought scared him, and his fur bristled once again. He shook his head vehemently, as if the thought would just whip away from his head.
He was snapped back to reality as he hit one of the cave walls. He swiped at it with his claws, glaring at the long gashes now in carved into cold dirt.
I wonder who that gray tom was..? He looked exactly like Jay's Wing. So exact it was scary, but it couldn't have been Jay's Wing, I'm not allowed help here, and he would've got caught by Rock if he did follow me in. I wonder if I'll ever see that gray tom again. Maybe one day when he may become a Sharpclaw.
Fallen Leaves dropped into a hunter's crouch and stalked a rock as if prey. In one swift movement he jumped and sent the rock flying across the tunnel. He raced after it thankful to have entertainment in these dark and dreary tunnels.
He thought, these tunnels can't be all bad. Can they?
