Chapter 1

Maddie's POV

"BEEP BEEP BEEP"

I woke up to the annoying sound of my alarm on my phone. I grabbed it and unlocked it so it would stop beeping. I laid there for about 20 minutes when I realized I was going to be late.

I jumped out of bed and hopped in the shower. I took a pretty fast shower and started to do my hair. I dried my long, brown hair and decided to leave it alone since its naturally straight.

I walked into my closet to pick out an outfit. Once I picked it out (picture to the side) I put it on and walked over to my vanity. I put on some light makeup and was done.

I walked downstairs to grab some breakfast. I got a bowl of cereal and sat down at the island. I pulled out my phone and went through Twitter while I ate.

After I finished I ran upstairs to brush my teeth. I grabbed my bag and walked out the door.

My bus stop wasn't too far from my house. It was at the end of the short street. I got there after about 5 minutes of walking. There was a boy waiting for the bus.

"Hey." he said as I got to the bus stop. "Hi" I replied shyly. "You must be new. Whats your name?" He asked. "Yeah I am and my name is Maddie. Whats yours?" I replied feeling more comfortable. "I'm Taylor." the boy said and smiled. He was about to say something but the bus came and cut him off.

I walked on the bus and found an empty seat in the back. I walked to it and sat down. I plugged in my earbuds and listened to "Good Girls" by 5SOS.

When the song ended we were already at the school. I got up and walked up to the school. It was huge! I needed to go to the office but I didn't know where it was.

I saw a girl walking alone and walked up to her. "Hi i'm new here and I was wondering if you could show me where the office was." I said sweetly. "Yeah sure! Come on ill show you." She replied shutting her locker.

"So whats your name?" She asked. "Maddie." I replied. "Oh nice i'm Kayla." She replied. I nodded and kept walking.

We got to the office and I said "thanks." I was walking in when Kayla called me. "Wait Maddie. Do you want to sit with me at lunch?" She said smiling. "Yeah sure." I said and waved goodbye.

I walked into the office and got my schedule. I had science first period. I walked around the whole school looking for room 207 but I finally found it. I walked inside and looked around the room. There weren't any desks. Just tables that sat two at each one.

"You must be Maddie! Well I am your science teacher Mrs.Hall." the teacher said to me. "Hi." I replied. "You can sit back there next to Mr.Caniff." She said smiling.

I walked to the back of the room and recognized the person next to me. It was the boy I met at the bus stop earlier. I think his name was Taylor? Or was it Matt? I don't remember.

We went through the rest of the class with the teacher talking. All I heard was "blah blah blah blah" so I talked to the boy again.

"Hey Taylor?" I asked. "Yeah?" He said facing me. Okay phew I got his name right. "This is really boring." I said. "Yeah shes always like this. But luckily for you, you get to sit next to the hottest guy here." He said smirking. "Self Conceded much?" I asked rolling my eyes. "Well I see your not denying it." he said and winked.

I looked around the classroom at all the other guys. They all looked like nerds or red eyed drug attics.

I shrugged my shoulders and the bell rang. I said bye to Taylor and headed off to my next class.
